The latest installment to the cult SRPG by Nippon Ichi Software, the Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, is headed for a Western launch on June 29, 2021.
NIS America proclaimed the release during the New Game Plus Expo. As per the announcement, the game will be exclusive to the North American market and on the Switch.
In Japan, Disgaea 6 is playable on both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
Gamers who will support the game’s overseas release for the Switch are in for a treat. Anyone who would be buying the game at or around launch will get bonus additional characters, like Asagi, Adell, Female Laharl, and Rozalin, as well as stories.
As of writing, it’s uncertain whether or not the extra contents will also become available for consumers who wouldn’t make the early adoption. Fans would do themselves a favor by not missing the freebies by buying the game soon after launch.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny follows the same quirky elements found in the series. While the core gameplay remains faithful, certain things have also changed. One, in particular, is the game’s approach to visuals, which embraces full 3D.
