The critically acclaimed side scrolling metroidvania, Blasphemous 2, is receiving a collectors edition early in 2024. The games publisher and developers; Selecta Play, The Game Kitchen and Team 17, have worked together to produce the collector’s edition for fans of the brutal game.
The collectors edition was previously confirmed only for the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. However, Selecta Play have now confirmed it will be coming to the Xbox Series X/S as well. The release of the collectors edition is expected for early 2024 sometime during Spring, but there isn’t a specific date for its launch. However there appears to be some options for preorders that suggest the release date. An Amazon listing shows March 20th and a listing on Video Games Plus has it as April 30th. Its a limited collectors edition and so its difficult to say how many will be available. Given the games critical success and how popular the Blasphemous 2 has been, they may sell out quickly.
What Is In The Collectors Edition
The Blasphemous 2 Collector’s Edition comes with a strong selection of goodies. It looks to celebrate all aspects of the game, from its art to its music. There is a steel book case with exclusive artwork, a printed instruction manual and a thank you letter from the developers. Along with this comes 3 Art cards, two CDs of games OST music composed by Carlos Viola, a collector’s CD cover and digital download code. There’s also a metal Marca del Martitio coin, an over 60-page printed game guide full of the game’s lore, an illustration album with a certificate of authenticity. All of this comes in a special collector’s box as well.
