Following a high amount of rumours and speculation, Activision have now confirmed that the next Call of Duty title will be Black Ops 4, and that it will be released in October this year. Black Ops 4 Confirmed, With Earlier Release Date
In February, it became apparent that Black Ops 4 would be become the next instalment to the Call of Duty franchise. Black Ops 4 is currently being developed by Treyarch, and is coming on Friday October 12th 2018 – a month sooner than the usual Call of Duty release date. Despite fans getting a release date, little details have been announced regarding the game, so its likely we will hear more at E3 2018.

However, despite this, the logo of Black Ops 4 has been confirmed in a report by Kotaku, and looks very much like a modified version of the logos from Black Ops 2 and 3. From the looks of the logo, Black Ops 4 is likely to continue the futuristic setting of Black Ops 3, which may deter some players after it was recently announced the next Battlefield game will be set during the Second World War. Whether it will, we will have to wait and see.
