We also learn some other various aspects of the world, Necromunda: Underhive Wars, such as the three factions in Necromunda called House Orlock, Escher, and Goliath that are constantly fighting over control of resources. However, if you haven’t heard of Necromunda: Underhive Wars until now, here is a rundown of what the game is all about.
A Futuristic Gang Warfare Tactical RPG
Necromunda: Underhive Wars is the first video game adaptation of the tabletop game Necromunda. The game’s premise is about heavily armed and very angry gangs fighting to the death in the most infamous of Hive worlds called Necromunda.
Hive worlds in case you don’t know are basically planets with one huge city that stretches high in the sky and deep underground and are home to billions of humans in the lore of 40k. If you want to find out more about Hive worlds, I recommend checking the wiki out at warhammer40kfandom.com and the Lexicanum site that is home to tons of 40k lore.
Furthermore, Necromunda: Underhive Wars is setting out to bring players “closer to the action” than any other game has done before. It will do this through an over the shoulder perspective, during lethal takedowns in melee combat and firefights, reminiscent of games like Xcom 2, but 40 times more brutal.
The game will also feature an interesting story campaign and a salvage operation game mode, where rival gangs will duke it out for power, wealth, survival, and honor. You will also get to customize your gangs and members and fight AI in persistent game modes or with up to three other players online.
This is all the information that we have right now, but more information regarding Necromunda: Underhive Wars will be coming soon. Necromunda: Underhive Wars will launch this summer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players can also pre-order the game now on Steam, which is currently the only one available for pre-order.
