5. SVA 545
The SVA has an incredibly high rate of fire, making it an efficient weapon to use in a bunch of scenarios. Not only that, but it proves to be fairly accurate, capable of netting you a decent enough K/D ratio. This weapon is the definition of playing it safe, using a somewhat reliable weapon to test out the game during the beta.
However, despite it being somewhat accurate, the iron sights are not ideal and the weapon lacks range. Compared to the MCW that we will discuss later, this weapon has slightly better stopping power. With mediocre mobility and under-average range, the SVA tends to be a viable weapon mainly in the early stages of the game. If you’re looking for something more consistent, then maybe this weapon isn’t the one for you.
4. Rival 9
This rapid-fire SMG is great for those looking to blindly spray at your enemies. You’ll be able to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the game as the Rival 9 has amazing mobility. It doesn’t take an expert to use SMGs correctly, so this is definitely considered to be one of the most accessible weapons in MW3.
In fact, you’re going to really need mobility as this gun really lacks in range. On top of that, it has a bunch of recoil and a small magazine. Therefore, to get the most out of this gun, you’ll have to get up close and personal with your enemies. If you’re into close-quarters combat, this SMG is the best fit for you, no questions asked. You’re not going to struggle much if you pick up this gun as it is capable of quickly flooding your opponents with a sea of bullets.
3. KV Inhibitor
The KV Inhibitor is not for everyone but it definitely has its place in the meta. It is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that can prove to be really overpowered due to the effectiveness of sniping in the MW3 meta. If you’re not really a ‘sniping’ kind of guy, then worry not as the KV is pretty accessible and easy to use. With practice, you’ll find that it’s definitely worth trying this gun out at least once or twice.
Being the first sniper you unlock, it will be a great start for those looking to try out the current meta. The most impressive thing about the KV Inhibitor is its damage output. It has the potential to one-shot your enemies if the bullet hits their upper body. With recoil that is practically non-existent, this gun is the definition of stopping power. When the full game releases and more attachments are available, this weapon is going to be lethal. By then, there will be other sniper rifle options, but this will remain a consistently solid option regardless.
2. MCW
The MCW is a fantastic option if you’re looking to use an assault rifle. It is the classic ACR from MW2 and MW3 and it has made a triumphant return in this latest installment of Call of Duty. With almost zero recoil, an incredible fire rate, and extremely efficient accuracy, this weapon almost has it all.
We say almost because unfortunately, it lacks a bit of damage. As a result, you’ll find that you’ll need to land all of your shots. While that might sound jarring, due to the positives we just listed above, you should have no issue doing so. In fact, you won’t even notice the damage difference that much if your bullets are consistently and constantly hitting their targets. Accuracy isn’t everybody’s strong suit, but if it is yours, then the MCW was made for you!
1. Striker
An all-around great SMG, the Striker is without a doubt the best gun you can use in the MW3 beta. Known as the UMP, veteran gamers will definitely recognize this powerhouse of a weapon as it returns to the meta. If you truly want to boost your K/D ratio and win more games, this gun is going to legitimately carry you. As a submachine gun, it is easy to use, consistently reliable, and super fun to play.
It’s got solid range and mobility, not to mention that it’s barely got any recoil. The only glaring con is its slow fire rate and its clunky iron sight. Furthermore, its base magazine is on the smaller side. That being said, when the full game releases, attachments will definitely fix this issue. Regardless, this weapon is extremely consistent and isn’t limited to a specific skill ceiling. It’s safe to say that using the Striker will definitely elevate your gameplay to new heights.
Overall, no matter which of these weapons you ultimately decide on, they are going to improve your play style. During the beta, it is important to experiment with a variety of weapons in order to know what to expect from the game. Therefore, this list should act as a guide, helping you know more about each and every meta-relevant weapon.
