Exciting news for Spider-Man fans! Sony Pictures has officially announced that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released in U.S. cinemas on June 4, 2027 – probably June 2 in France, with our releases on Wednesday. The long-awaited sequel, which will serve as the conclusion to the Spider-Verse trilogy, was presented at CinemaCon 2025, where attendees were given an exclusive look at five new images from the film, and it’s fair to say that they make you really want to discover what will be (for now?) the last adventure for Miles Morales and his spider friends.
An Enticing Preview
At Sony’s presentation, the studio unveiled a new series of visuals highlighting Miles Morales’ next adventure. Among the images shown is an electrifying shot of Miles swinging through a futuristic city, his iconic black and red suit glowing under the neon lights. Another striking image shows a tense face-off between Miles and his alternate-universe counterpart, Miles G. Morales, who was introduced as Prowler at the end of Across the Spider-Verse.
- Miles puts on his costume!
- Miles against… Miles.
Other images show a fan-favorite character, Spider-Gwen, hinting at her important role in the story to come. The images emphasize the franchise’s signature animation style, which combines comic-book aesthetics with cutting-edge technology to create a vibrant, dynamic world.

- What will the Miles who hasn’t become the Spider-Man of his universe do?
The Story Continues
Directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, the film will pick up where Across the Spider-Verse left off, diving deeper into the multiverse and its infinite possibilities. Fans can’t wait to see how Miles’ battle with the Prowler version of himself plays out, as well as the new dimensions and characters that will be introduced.
The Spider-Verse films have been celebrated for their groundbreaking animation, emotionally captivating storytelling and diverse cast of characters, making them some of the most beloved superhero films of recent years. With the previous films both critically acclaimed and hugely successful at the box office, the anticipation for this latest chapter has never been greater.
As the release date slowly approaches, Sony is set to release more details, trailers and promotional visuals to build up the pressure in the near future. One thing’s for sure: Miles Morales’ journey is far from over, and fans can’t wait to return to the Spider-Verse one last time.
