Vendetta D’Onore translates to ‘honorable vengeance’ or ‘vengeance of honor’. This chapter opens with Isabella having a quiet moment in the chapel before Enzo walks in. He asks Isabella if she’s told anyone about their “moment” and lets her know that her father has cryptically requested a meeting. Lastly, they finally express their true feelings for one another. Enzo promises that he will find a way to be with her.
The following guide is a walkthrough of Vendetta D’Onore – Chapter V of Mafia: The Old Country.
Naturally, the first prompt is to head to meet Don Torrisi in the vineyard. If you wait around at the church, Father Ciccone will appear on the bench near the doorway, where brief dialogue can be had.
Cesare will also be soliciting attention from a vineyard worker woman as a dialogue icon appears. Enzo tries to gain more information on why Torrisi requested a meeting, to no avail.
Meet with Don
Immediately upon entering the villa, to the right, will be a newspaper on the table:

“Valle Dorata (is) lawless, unsolved murders, widespread robberies, and a police force that has lost control.”
Possible foreshadowing, Tino can be seen standing outside of Torrisi’s door. He snarks that he has a ‘nice view’ of the chapel from where he is standing. In Pizzu – Chapter III, this gentleman was the one who gave Enzo his second warning about Isabella…
Facing Don’s door, the corridor to the right is another Newspaper.
Opening Scene, Torrisi answers the door, with the Isabella “incident” as the central subject. The following are the main dialogue points:
- Torrisi declares that bravery and honor are what distinguish true men.
- Background Context: Enzo saved Isabella from an attempted kidnapping, but the danger isn’t yet over.
- Il Barone’s Interests: He is tied to the sulfur mines, where Enzo once worked, but his business dealings with Ludovici have recently soured.
- Ludovici: Orchestrated the kidnapping of Isabella (and Gennaro) to hopefully pressure Fontanella into relinquishing his holdings.
- Torrisi’s Directive: He urges Enzo to deliver a clear message…that Don Torrisi protects and “takes care” of his friends and family.
Follow Luca, Speak to Valerio
Valerio will be waiting by the keep across from Enzo’s quarters. He will lead you to the backroom that is basically an armory where the player is prompted to Choose a gun.
How to Choose a Gun
The player can choose a PISTOL and a SHOTGUN that best suits their playstyle. The knife block will be unlocked once the player chooses their fire weapon(s).
- “Bore pistol, can tear through just about anything”
- “Lupara, sawed-off with a short-range but a lot of firepower.”
- (Top) “Bolt action rifle, can pick off vermin from a distance” (Bottom) “Repeater, not as powerful as a rifle but fires faster”
- “Pump-action shotgun, has a lot of shells should you really need to make sure that something is dead.”
- “Single shot, deadly when accurate.”
- “‘Old Reliable’ (Revolver), in the right hands, it does the job.”
- “Hunting Shotgun, packs a punch up close.”
- Knife box
After the player chooses their gun(s), Valerio prompts Enzo to Get a car.
Before the player leaves a KNIFE block is available to choose or buy a KNIFE. The player can equip a knife that suits their playstyle. Some knives have perks like increased loot or enhanced durability. It’s suggested to choose a knife with durability as the upcoming infiltration has several lockboxes.
OPTIONAL: Isabella will be immediately waiting outside where she requests Enzo to help her carry some crates.
Choose a Car
There will appear to be no more points of interest until the player reaches the GARAGE.
Visit a GARAGE to access your vehicle collection. There, you can also spend DINARI to purchase new models. The chance to buy additional styles to customise your vehicles can be purchase from Pasquale.
From here, the player can choose or buy a car. The player should choose a vehicle that suits their playstyle although the car is only to get to the confrontation and the drive is skippable.
The player can choose the economic Bolt Model 1 or one of three higher-end cars with better grip. There is also a very expensive car, Dufort Camionette, that is basically a more stylish Bolt Model 1 in terms of stats.
Drive to the Lookout
Sign posts will guide the player to their objective but free-roam is available. The player can visit Pasquale’s mom at his autobody shop turn in Trinacrias or shop for beads or medallion CHARMS.
Look for the following signposts to guide to the objective.
Upon arrival, there is a NEWSPAPER to collect.
In front of the irritable man is a Journal Entry collectible
A brief clip plays before Tino tasks Enzo with bringing Ludovici alive to the old castello.
Infiltrate Ludovici’s Villa
There will be an armed guard at the main gate. An easy route to Ludovici would be sneaking towards the righthand side of the entrance. Head over to the handcart/ramp against the wall and vault over. TAKEDOWN guards from behind and HIDE the bodies to avoid detection. Repeat until Ludocivi.
A relevant bead is to EQUIP is the Fantasma CHARM to muffle the sound of your footsteps.

Infiltrating Ludovico’s Villa without being detected will unlock the Fantasma player achievement trophy.
The player can get to the far end of the villa from the left or righthand side. It’s suggested to TAKEDOWN and HIDE as many guards as possible.

Just before Ludovici’s door is another NOTE that depicts a Protection Agreement between Massimo and Spadardo.
A cutscene plays upon entering Ludovici’s study with Enzo confronting Ludovici and a swarm of his minions coming to protect him. Kill them all.
EQUIP a relevant CHARM that deals with health, ammo, aiming, etc.

If the player chose short range guns earlier in the chapter, there is a long range rifle on the balcony for your convenience. Here, is also a good time to EQUIP a relevant CHARM.
Chase Ludovici
Once they are eliminated don’t lollygag too long. Ludovici will come to and run away. Chase Ludovici, taking down any enemy in the way. Keep Ludovici alive.
If the player finds themselves low on ammo or bandages, LOOT bodies, quickly.
Once they are eliminated, Ludovici will be hiding in a hay stable near one of the entry points of the villa.
TAKEDOWN Ludovici and carry him to the car. Enjoy the ride until prompted to Get Ludovici out of the car and bring him to Tino. Listen to his mini-speech.
Kill (Don’t Kill) Ludovici
Tino orders Enzo to kill Ludovici. If you do nothing, he will kill you but it unlocks a player achievement, the Man of Honor trophy.
The death scene will play for Enzo and the game will reload to a previous checkpoint. Kill him the second time around.
The next scene opens with Enzo reading another note from Isabella before he is interrupted by Cesare. Follow him.
Cesare will lead Enzo to Luca and he makes a proposal. Open the door.
Here, Enzo will be initiated.
- Bound by blood.
- She knows…
Celebrate
Follow Cesare to his car to get more drinks in San Celeste. Cesare will task Enzo with an unsafe driving task. There’ll be several more prompts like Stop and Wait for Cesare before reaching San Celeste.
Upon reaching San Celeste, a cutscene will ensue where Cesare will meet up with a group of women. Enzo will decline, stating he has his an unnamed woman in his life already.
When the scene ends, Cesare drives Enzo to his new apartment where there will be several points of interest, including a Journal Entry as well as a TRINACRIA.

- TRINACRIA in Enzo’s new apartment.
- “One day, it’ll be you and me running this.”
Lastly, Settle in ends the chapter.
Completing the chapter unlocks the player achievement, “This Thing of Ours” trophy.
