Chatterbox: SMG on Caffeine
This P90 isn’t just fast—it’s furious. Reload near enemies to crank up its fire rate and rain down chaos.
-
Incessant Chatter: More enemies = faster fire rate. Kills refill half your magazine. Keep shooting, never stop.
How to get it: You must find three Chatterbox parts before you can unlock the blueprint. These parts are hidden in Hyena faction boxes, which require Hyena keys to open. The parts are located in Downtown East, Federal Triangle, and Judiciary Square. Once you have all three parts, initiate the Bank Headquarters mission and grab the RFID keycard from the old CEO’s office after defeating Rebound. Use the keycard to open the vault grate and craft the Chatterbox at any Crafting Bench. After acquiring it, Chatterbox will also appear in SMG Targeted Loot drops in the open world.
Liberty: The Shield’s Best Friend

Finally, craft Nemesis at any bench and become a long-range nightmare.
Diamondback: Guaranteed Crits, Baby!
After the Nemesis, the next weapon on this Exotic Weapons list is the Diamondback, an Exotic Rifle variant from the 1886 Rifle, and is a deadly weapon if you can time the Talent right.
Diamondback’s Talent, Agonising Bite, makes the Diamondback randomly mark an enemy every time you shoot the weapon. Hitting that enemy consumes the mark, guaranteeing a critical hit with damage amplified by 20%. After hitting a mark, all shots fired are guaranteed critical hits for 5s. A mark will hit a new random enemy afterward and whenever you reload.

How to get it: Level 90 reward in the current battle pass. Also farmable in Pistol-targeted loot zones.
Vindicator: Precision Rifle
And we have reached the latest Exotic Weapon that is available in Division 2, the Vindicator. This weapon is unique, with similarities with the Mantis regarding its scoping mechanics and how it utilizes the Decoy skill.
Vindicator’s Talent, Ortiz Assault Interface, focuses on maximizing the Exotic Weapon’s nature as a Rifle. While scoped, the weapon will highlight a random body section of each enemy. The weapon deals +40% Weapon Damage to highlighted body sections.
Based on its Talent, this means that Agents who want to run Vindicator with their Offensive Build must play similarly to the Mantis Build, by using Decoy to negate the enemies’ attention to snipe enemies comfortably.
How to get it: Challenge the Descent game mode within Division 2, one of the latest major modes available in the game, where agents must tackle numerous rogue-like rooms and enemies before facing off against the Nemesis, your perfect copy. Alternatively, Vindicator is available through the NSA Station Vendor, located in the Castle Settlement, where it can be purchased using 350 NSA Tech. You can buy as many copies as you want; however, Vindicator remains exclusive to the Descent game mode and the NSA Station Vendor, necessitating completion of the mode to gather sufficient NSA Tech.

All Division 2’s Exotic Weapons Stats
Once you understand a glimpse of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons and their incredible powers, from Eagle Bearer which allows you to withstand some damage you take, to Vindicator, which boosts your damage against specific parts of your enemies, it is apparent that these Exotic Weapons are deadly, rewarding, and in some cases, a Best-in-Slot weapon for certain builds.
And so, to accompany this Division 2 Exotic Weapons guide, we will also list down their respective stats, from their Average DPS to Talent Synergies (Which Chest and Backpack pieces work great in tandem with each Exotic Weapon), which we will divide into sub-sections of Assault Rifles, Light Machine Guns (LMGs), Submachine Guns, Rifles, Marksman Rifles, Shotguns, and Pistols.
Exotic Assault Rifles
The first sub-category of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons is the Assault Rifle variants. Generally, the Exotic Assault Rifles are high-powered, high RPM killing machines that can help Agents shred their enemies reliably, as most of them are suitable for Offensive Builds, except for Capacitor, as its usage is more fit for Skill Builds.
Although their optimal range is inferior compared to most Rifles, and some LMGs, the high RPM paired with relatively large magazine sizes makes Assault Rifles the go-to weapons for most occasions, and the Exotics are no different. Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic Assault Rifles’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic Assault Rifles | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Eagle Bearer | 645k | 0 – 35 m | 60 + 1 Rounds | 800 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
The Bighorn | 650k | 0 – 37 m | 40 + 1 Rounds | 800 RPM | Headhunter (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Chameleon | 590k | 0 – 20 m | 50 + 1 Rounds | 900 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Capacitor | 600k | 0 – 27 m | 41 + 1 Rounds | 700 RPM | Glass Cannon (Chest) + Calculated (Backpack) |
St. Elmo’s Engine | 625k | 0 – 35 m | 70 + 1 Rounds | 850 RPM | Glass Cannon/Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Exotic LMGs
The next sub-category of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons is the LMG variants. The Exotic LMGs boast great innate Talents that can tear down enemies’ defenses, however, this comes at the expense of slow RPM and low overall DPS.
Still, Bullet King and Bluescreen have spots within the Offensive and Skill Builds landscape, as these two Exotic LMGs have Talents that are convenient for Agents to help them mow down the enemies faster.
Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic LMGs’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic LMGs | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pestilence | 430k | 0 – 35 m | 100 + 1 Rounds | 550 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Bullet King | 530k | 0 – 40 m | 1000 Rounds | 850 RPM | Obliterate/Glass Cannon (Chest) + Vigilance/Versatile (Backpack) |
Bluescreen | 620k | 0 – 40 m | 100 + 1 Rounds | 660 RPM | Overwatch (Chest) + Creeping Death/Calculated (Backpack) |
Iron Lung | 720k | 0 – 30 m | 85 + 1 Rounds | 800 RPM | Obliterate/Glass Cannon (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Exotic Submachine Guns
The next sub-category of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons is the Sub Machinegun variants. The Exotic SMGs boast Talents that are usually tied with agility and or give-and-take situations, which makes the Exotic SMGs relatively risky to use if you aren’t careful.
Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic SMGs’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic SMGs | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
The Chatterbox | 500k | 0 – 15 m | 60 + 1 Rounds | 700 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Lady Death | 620k | 0 – 16 m | 32 Rounds | 900 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance/Companion (Backpack) |
Backfire | 750k | 0 – 22 m | 55 + 1 Rounds | 850 RPM | Obliterate/Intimidate (Chest) + Bloodsucker/Adrenaline Rush (Backpack) |
Ouroboros | 1,000k | 0 – 15 m | 50 + 1 Rounds | 1,485 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Exotic Rifles
The next sub-category of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons is the Rifle variants. Perhaps, this Exotic Weapons sub-category holds some of the weaker weapons within the game, as their Talents are outshined by Named Weapons like Baker’s Dozen, among others.
However, the Exotic Rifles fulfill a certain niche in the evergrowing landscape that is Division 2‘s builds, whether it is for Offensive Build (The Ravenous) or Skill Healer Build (Doctor Home), you can use them to further improve upon your builds as these weapons provide great bonuses for the Agents.
Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic Rifles’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic Rifles | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ruthless/Merciless | 560k | 0 – 50 m | 30 + 1 Rounds | 400 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance/Composure (Backpack) |
Diamondback | 545k | 0 – 28 m | 5 Rounds | 100 RPM | Headhunter (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
The Ravenous | 488k | 0 – 50 m | 60 + 1 Rounds | 240 RPM | Obliterate/Unbreakable (Chest) + Vigilance/Adrenaline Rush (Backpack) |
Doctor Home | 910k | 0 – 60 m | 15 + 1 Rounds | 350 RPM | Tag Team (Chest) + Transference Overclock (BTSU Datagloves) |
Vindicator | 600k | 0 – 28 m | 25 + 1 Rounds | 380 RPM | Headhunter/Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Exotic Marksman Rifles
The next sub-category of Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons is the Marksman Rifle variants. Boasting high damage, especially Headshot Damage, these weapons can kill most enemies in one shot.
For example, Nemesis is widely used in many MMR-centered Builds by using Aces & Eights Gearset with the Headhunter Chest, where Agents with steady hands can pick off the enemies one by one from afar. These Exotic Marksman Rifles are deadly but require precise shots for maximum DPS output.
Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic Marksman Rifles’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic Marksman Rifles | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Nemesis | 783k | 0 – 60 m | 5 + 1 Rounds | 50 RPM | Aces & Eights (Gearset) |
Mantis | 338k | 0 – 42 m | 7 + 1 Rounds | 60 RPM | Headhunter (Chest) + Decoy |
Dread Edict | 692k | 0 – 42 m | 10 + 1 Rounds | 260 RPM | Obliterate/Headhunter (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Sacrum Imperium | 672k | 0 – 60 m | 20 + 1 Rounds | 275 RPM | Headhunter (Chest) + Composure/Vigilance (Backpack) |
Exotic Shotguns & Pistols
The last sub-categories for Division 2‘s Exotic Weapons are the Exotic Shotguns and Exotic Pistols. The reason why these two are combined is due to the lacking amount of Exotic Shotguns in the game, as there are only two of them so far: Scorpio and Sweet Dreams/Lullaby.
Although lacking in numbers, Scorpio and Sweet Dreams are highly powerful and useful, with the Scorpio oftentimes becoming the Best-in-Slot weapon for Crowd Control Build, while Sweet Dreams allows Agents who equip it to immediately kill a non-Elite enemy every 15 seconds, which to this day, no weapon can surpass it in terms of pure ability alone.
Meanwhile, the Exotic Pistols in Division 2 are also powerful in their league, as sidearms are crucial for Tanker Builds. It’s almost a certain thing that every Tanker Agent equips the Liberty pistol, as its Talent is indispensable for them to maintain their shield’s strength over time. As for the Regulus, if paired with Dodge City’s Gunslinger Holder, then you’d be in for a headshot spree… in an ‘explosive’ manner.
Below, we have listed all current Division 2‘s Exotic Shotguns and Pistols’ stats, helping you understand these weapons better:
Exotic Shotguns & Pistols | Average DPS | Optimal Range | Magazine Size | Rounds Per Minute | Talent Synergies |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sweet Dreams/Lullaby | 754k | 0 – 10 m | 8 Rounds | 70 RPM | Unbreakable (Chest) + Vigilance/Adrenaline Rush (Backpack) |
Scorpio | 977k | 0 – 15 m | 7 Rounds | 130 RPM | Toxic Delivery (Vile) + Opportunistic (Backpack) |
Liberty | 587k | 0 – 16 m | 8 + 1 Rounds | 150 RPM | Ablasive Nano-Plating (Tardigrade Armor System) + Protector (Backpack) |
Regulus | 752k | 0 – 17 m | 6 Rounds | 160 RPM | Headhunter (Chest) + Quick Draw (Dodge City Gunslinger’s Holster) |
Busy Little Bee | 532k | 0 – 14 m | 30 + 1 Rounds | 400 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Mosquito | 520k | 0 – 14 m | 15 + 1 Rounds | 350 RPM | Obliterate (Chest) + Vigilance (Backpack) |
Randy H.
Don’t buy the Lullaby and Ruthless from the store. You get level 1 weapons only. Ruthless does about 622 damage (level 40+) and Lullaby does 5568. They should tell you up front that this is what you get and you can only use these as skins for Sweet Dreams and Merciless, which most players, especially lower levels, will not own.
You are buying skins. It’s deceiving. I bought these when Div2 came out and still can’t use.
