Subnautica 2 Repair Tool Blueprint Scan Locations

Subnautica 2 players need to scan this tool when they see it out in the open to unlock its Blueprint

This is an example of the object you will be scanning in 3 locations

To unlock the Blueprint, players must use the Scanner at three distinct locations. All areas are fairly close to the default Lifepod found at the beginning of the game, which will be used as a reference guide.

    1. You’re looking for a physical replica of the Repair Tool to scan at each of the following locations.
    2. Equip and use the Scanner once you find it.
    3. Scan the Repair Tool at all three locations.

If you’re in Survival Mode, manage your oxygen carefully since some areas will be fairly deep underwater.

Location #1: Colonist Bunker (Quaker’s Meetinghouse)

Start with Colonist Bunker (Quaker’s Meetinghouse), which involves a partially hidden tunnel.

  1. At the default starting location for your Lifepod, jump out and head southeast while underwater.
  2. The UI at the top of your screen should be between 150 and 165.
  3. Swim until you see a rock formation with one tall rock sticking out. It will be about 30m deep.
  4. Near the little blue light at the entrance is an area where you can dive deeper.
  5. Almost immediately below you is a red hatch you can enter.
  6. Scan the Repair Tool on the desk in front of you.

Location #2: Cicada Wreck (Lander Garage)

Now go to the Cicada Wreck (Lander Garage) to find the second scanning location within the wreckage.

  1. From the default Lifepod location, dive and go northeast.
  2. The UI at the top of your screen should be between 30 and 60.
  3. Swim this way until you see a big wreckage site, which you can see about 30m deep.
  4. Try to go underneath the wreckage on the left side when you approach it.
  5. Enter the hole leading you into the ship.
  6. Scan the Repair Tool on the ground in the southeastern part of the room.

Location #3: Cicada Wreck (Canteen)

The final location to visit is the Cicada Wreck (Canteen), which is the furthest from the Lifepod.

  1. Using the original Lifepod location as a reference, dive underwater and head south with ~195 showing up at the top of your screen.
  2. Swim in this direction until you see another big wreckage over 50m deep.
  3. Keep swimming until you can go behind the wreckage.
  4. Enter the entrance on the back side.
  5. Head to your left.
  6. Dive down into the next room.
  7. Scan the Repair Tool on the couch.

Once you scan all three spots, you can make a Repair Tool at any Fully Functional Fabricator by using the following resources:

  • 1x Titanium Ignot
  • 1x Wiring Kit
  • 1x Basic Battery
  • 1x Sulfur
