Blue Blood’s Tailcoat Location in Lies of P

The Blue Blood’s Tailcoat is one of the many outfits you’ll collect during your time in Lies of P. These outfits let you drastically alter P’s clothing and accessories without changing their stats or abilities as they are purely cosmetic. And, out of all the options you will amass throughout your playthrough, the Blue Blood’s Tailcoat is one of the best-looking ones.

You can actually pick it up fairly early on in your Lies of P playthrough, becoming available just after you defeat the second major boss, the Scrapped Watchman. However, an outfit this nice isn’t just sat in a box on the side of the street. You’ll need to locate a Trinity Key and it’s matching Trinity Door in the Venigni Works to claim this prize. If you can manage to find both, the Blue Blood’s Tailcoat is yours.

Trinity Key Location

Before you can open the Trinity Door and claim your fabulous new attire, you’ll need to acquire a Trinity Key first. Trinity Keys are given to you by the King of Riddles Arlecchino after you find one of his mysterious phone boxes and then answer a riddle. The best way to find and locate these phone boxes is to keep an ear out for the sound of a ringing phone: if you can hear that sound, one of Arlecchino’s phones is close at hand.

Technically, any Trinity Key can fit into any Trinity Door meaning that, so long as you have 1 key from any of Arlecchino’s phone boxes, you can easily nab yourself the Blue Blood’s Tailcoat. However, the Trinity Key meant to open the way to the Blue Blood’s Tailcoat is actually the very first Trinity Key you can obtain in the whole game. Compared to some of the later phone boxes, it’s also one of the ones which is the most out of the way.

To easily reach the first Trinity Key’s location, teleport to the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer. This will take you to Venigni Works, the leading producer of puppets in Krat. Once you make it to Stargazer, immediately turn around, head up the ladder and make your way out of the facility and onto the bridge at the main entrance to Venigni Works. If you don’t have the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer unlocked yet, you can also use the Krat City Hall Courtyard Stargazer. This will become available after defeating the Scrapped Watchman and, once you’ve received the key to Venigni Works from Geppetto, you can just follow the main path until you reach the same bridge leading to the Venigni Works entrance.

Once you’re on the opposite side of the bridge, head right down a small side street. It’s there, under a small spotlight by a fence outlooking the waterfront, where you’ll find the first of Arlecchino’s phone boxes. After a quick introduction, he’ll ask you a riddle. The correct answer is Humans and, depending on which answer you gave, some slight differences will occur:

  • If you correctly guessed the answer as Humans, Arlecchino will give you the Trinity Key directly and you’ll earn some more Humanity Points, marked by the message The Ergo is whispering
  • If you guessed incorrectly that the answer was Monsters, Arlecchino will still give you the Trinity Key but it will be trapped and inflict you with a status effect upon redeeming the key in your inventory. You’ll also earn more points towards your puppet side, marked by the message Your springs are reacting

Once you have the Trinity Key, you’re ready to head for the first Trinity Door and earn yourself the Blue Blood’s Tail Coat in Lies of P

Trinity Room Location

The first Trinity Room is within the Venigni Works facility itself. You can proceed through the area as normal until you reach the Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer, which is the second Stargazer inside Venigni Works.

From the Stargazer, head right into a tunnel marked by a bright orange light. This will take you to a sloped section of the facility where, alongside dealing with some pesky puppets, you’ll need to get out of the way of large balls of flaming metal that come down the slope every few seconds. There are recesses and gaps in the railing where you slot in and avoid taking damage from the balls as you ascend higher and higher up the slope. Eventually, a puppet will burst through a wall on the right side of the chamber, opening up a tunnel for you to continue moving forward.

Once you exit from the tunnel, head left where you should see two Stalkers, Red Fox and Black Cat, standing on a platform overlooking the Puppet of the Future down below. Past them is another passage which you should enter and follow to the end. Once you do, instead of heading left through a large red tube infested with damaged puppets, go right and, after defeating three puppets guarding the way, you should notice a small hidden walkway at the bottom of this path.

Just Past the Stalkers

As soon as you turn the corner, you’ll be met by a set of large green metal doors spray painted with a white triangle. This a Trinity Door and, so long as you have a Trinity Key, you can open it and pillage the goods from within. Upon opening this Trinity Door, you’ll see three chairs arranged in a triangle around a glass case containing a book.

Most importantly, there’s a safe at the back of the room which, when opened, will award you the Blue Blood’s Tailcoat outfit which you can equip at any time.
