The Cactus Family Reunion is a secret mission in the Desert map of Far Far West, where you need to reunite six small cactus kids with their matching six larger parent cacti. The challenge is not just finding them.
You also need to carry each child back to the correct parent, and you must finish all six reunions in a single run to unlock the reward.
1. How the Cactus Family Reunion Works
The Cactus Family Reunion takes place on the Desert map. You need to find the parent cacti first, read their hints, then locate the correct child cactus and carry it back. There are six pairs in total, which means 12 cactus NPCs are involved in the mission.
Once you pick up a child cactus, your movement options become more limited, so you should not grab the first kid you see without knowing where the matching parent is.
- Find a parent cactus and read the clue.
- Locate the child cactus connected to that clue.
- Pick up the child cactus.
- Carry the child back to the parent.
- Repeat this for all six cactus families.
- Finish every reunion in the same Desert run to unlock the reward.
2. All Cactus Locations in Far Far West
The cactus families are spread across the Desert, with parents and children placed near distinct landmarks such as the oasis, northern shore, Marauder camp, pipes, bones, grotto, pyramid, and rocky areas. Use the table below as your main checklist while moving through the map.
| Cactus Family | Parent Location | Child Location | Pairing Hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fishing Cactus Family | Central area of the Desert | Small oasis pond near a Marauder camp | The child went fishing |
| Marauder Camp Cactus Family | Northern shore of the island | Largest Marauder camp | The child is trying to assert dominance |
| Pipe Cactus Family | Eastern section of the map | On top of large pipes between rock formations | The child was used as bait near the pipes |
| Bone Cactus Family | Near a grotto entrance | Big bone landmark with skeletons and skulls | The child is obsessed with bones |
| Poetry / Pirate Cactus Family | In front of a small pyramid | Northern side of the map | The child ran away from the rhyming parent |
| Rock-Tasting Cactus Family | Near a rocky outcrop | On top of a nearby pyramid | The child is tasting better rocks |
3. How to Pair Every Cactus Family
Each cactus pair is matched by the dialogue clue. Do not rely only on distance, because some children are far away from their parents. Read the parent’s clue, then go to the landmark that matches the child’s behavior.
3.1. How to Pair Fishing Cactus Family
The first parent is found toward the central part of the Desert. The clue points toward a child who went off to fish. To find the child, head to the small oasis pond near a Marauder camp. Pick up the fishing child and bring him back to the central parent cactus.

- Look for the clue about the child going fishing.
- Go to the small oasis pond near the Marauder camp.
- Pick up the child cactus with the fishing pole.
- Carry him back to the central parent.
3.2. How to Pair Marauder Camp Cactus Family
The second parent is located on the northern shore. This parent’s clue points to a child who went to the largest Marauder camp to act tough. Go to the largest Marauder camp in the area and look for the baby cactus standing in the danger zone.

3.3. How to Pair Pipe Cactus Family
The third parent is found in the eastern section of the map. This clue points toward the pipes, where the child is located on top of large pipes between rock formations. This one is easier if you scan the raised pipe area carefully before picking up the cactus.
- Find the parent cactus in the eastern section.
- Read the clue about the child being used as bait.
- Search the large pipes between nearby rocks.
- Pick up the child cactus from the pipe area.

3.5. How to Pair Poetry/Pirate Cactus Family
The fifth parent is standing in front of a small pyramid. This parent speaks in rhymes and poems, and the child ran away to get away from it. The pirate-loving child is found on the northern side of the map, so this is one of the longer walks.
- Find the rhyming parent cactus in front of the small pyramid.
- Read the clue about the pirate-loving child.
- Travel to the northern side of the Desert.
- Pick up the child cactus.
- Walk him back to the small pyramid parent.
3.6. How to Pair Rock-Tasting Cactus Family

- Climb or reach the nearby pyramid.

- Reward: Unlock the Cactus Day Joker.
- Reward Effect: Gives a small chance to spawn a cactus-themed Minino near enemy deaths.
