Mastering the Transfer Market
In Ultimate Team, your best friend is undeniably the transfer market. Mastering it will ultimately decide your team’s worth in this competitive game mode. There are a number of ways to do so, mainly stemming from a solid understanding on how everything works. First, there is something called supply and demand. If there is too much demand and not enough supply, prices rise. For example, an SBC releases that requires fodder so everything is trying to buy fodder. In that case, a 10k card could end up costing around 20k!
On the other hand, if EA release lightning round packs, a lot of players purchase them and as a result end up selling anything worthwhile to make their money back. Therefore, the market gets flooded with supply and prices decrease. Having this basic foundation of information in mind whilst trading will definitely help you see things clearly.
With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the best trading methods in EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team.
Best Trading Methods
Below are some of what we think are the best ways to get coins fast in EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team. We’ll discuss them in-depth, as well as explaining any relevant information that you need to know.
A quick thing to note before starting is to make sure you hold onto your overpowered players until the game is released for everyone. If you pack Haaland now, do not sell him for 400k no matter how tempting it may be. Once early access ends and more people get their hands on the game, Haaland’s price will rise exponentially. Be on the lookout!
Bronze Pack Method
The first method is definitely not the most entertaining one. Yet, its one that is relatively low effort, it just takes a bit of time. Seeing as how we are at the beginning of the game, many people are trying to complete the ‘Foundations‘ Squad Building Challenges. In which, they require submitting Bronze players with a certain amount of Chemistry.
A solid way to capitalize on this is to check your club, specifically using a filter to search for Bronze CFs. At the moment, they’re going for a lot, so if you have any make sure to sell them. If you don’t, worry not, you can simply try to snipe or bid some, then re-selling them for more. Furthermore, make sure you keep an eye out if you pack any English, French, or Brazilian bronzes as they often go for a lot, especially if they are a CF.
This brings us to our main point; Bronze packs. This method involves you opening Bronze packs and selling every single thing you get inside. Eventually, you’ll end up with a few bronzes that sell on the transfer list for around 1-2k, helping you make a tiny bit of profit. Keep at it for a while and you’ll see your coin balance start to increase. Of course, you can quick sell a few things that aren’t selling, but make sure to keep an eye out for those extinct bronzes! You’ll find that this method also works with Silver players, especially when Silver Stars begins.
SBC and Evolutions Trading
As mentioned earlier, SBCs influence the market a lot. This is due to fodder prices rising once there is a lot of demand. A great way to capitalize on this is to make sure you invest in 84/85/86 rated players once there are promo packs available. Afterwards, wait until they release an SBC that a lot of people are interested in completing then sell. You’ll make some nice easy profit using this low-risk method.
Another interesting way to trade is to keep your eye on Marquee Matchups and other SBCs that require a very specific criteria. For example, this week’s Marquee Matchups included a Liverpool player, so investing in a bunch would’ve been handy as they now sell for around 1.8k-2.5k. Marquee Matchups are based off of upcoming fixtures in real life, enabling you to predict which cards you’ll need to invest in.
Evolutions trading is a new method that didn’t exist in previous titles. Basically, the goal here is to invest in players that are eligible for evolution paths. A fantastic example of this is Ansu Fati. Due to his potential of being a sweaty 85 rated card post-evolution, his market price currently sits at around 8.5k coins. As new evolutions get released, make sure to monitor which cards will be the most in demand.

Mass Bid Method
A quick method, meant for those who have other matters to attend to. This trading style is meant to take advantage of lazy buyers. Basically, you bid on a bunch of common golds and try to win them for an extremely low price. Trust us, it works more frequently than you think. After placing your bids, simply relax for an hour and return once the bidding time ends. You won’t have won every bid, but you’ll have a handful.
At this point, all you need to do is list those cards back up onto the transfer list for more than what you got them for. Lazy buyers typically purchase commons for around 650, but you can buy them by bidding 450-500. The key word here is ‘mass’ as you won’t get profit right away, you need to perform this method in batches. The best thing about this method is, you can do it all from the comfort of your companion app!
Rewards, Coin Boosts, and More
Without a doubt you’re going to be playing a lot of matches in Ultimate Team. It’s essential that you know which modes to focus on to make sure your efforts are not being wasted. FUT Champs is the optimum mode, giving you the highest rewards possible. That being said, it’s extremely competitive to make sure you use your best squad. Remember, you can only play on the weekends, so time is of the essence.
Division Rivals is easier than Champs and still offers great pack and coin rewards also, so that’s also where you should spend the majority of your time. The more you rank up, the better rewards you get, pretty simple and straightforward. Squad Battles is by far the easiest game mode, offering decent rewards but that really aren’t worth the snooze-fest you’re going to endure whilst playing the CPU. Seasonal Rewards and Objectives help you earn XP which give you untradeable packs. In these packs you might get some useful cards to enhance your team or put into SBCs.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to eventually build your ultimate dream team using this illustrious virtual currency.
Alternatively, you could always go down the easy route and purchase FC points with real money to open packs but that’s like… cheating. Instead, we like to work hard for our coins! Blood, sweat, and tears… emphasis on the tears part, especially if you’re playing Champs.
