Directive 8020 – Trophy List & Achievements Guide

Complete every challenge in Directive 8020 with the full trophies and achievements breakdown. From episode progression to branching ending routes, use the guide to plan your Platinum trophy or 100% achievement run.

Directive 8020 trophy list Directive 8020 has 31 trophies on PS5, including the Platinum, and 30 achievements on Xbox / Steam.

The trophy list is built around the game’s branching story structure: you need to finish all 8 episodes, complete the story on Survivor Playstyle, collect every Secret, find all Simms’ recordings, unlock all Character Destinies, and reach several different crew outcomes.

The new Turning Points system is also important because it lets you rewind and change major story decisions in Explorer Playstyle, while Survivor Playstyle removes that safety net for a more traditional Dark Pictures run.

1. Directive 8020 Trophy & Achievement Structure

Directive 8020 has a larger and more branching trophy list than a simple story completion game. Finish the story once, then use Turning Points or extra playthroughs to clean up opposite outcomes, crew deaths, collectible trophies, and different character destinies.

  • PlayStation: 31 trophies, including Platinum.
  • Xbox/Steam: 30 achievements.
  • Story length: 8 episodes.
  • Online requirements: None.
  • Co-op requirements: None.
  • Difficulty requirement: Yes. Live with the Consequences requires completing the story on Survivor Playstyle.
  • Missables: Yes, many outcome, choice, collectible, and character-state trophies can be missed in a single route.
  • Chapter Select/Rewind help: Turning Points can help with cleanup in Explorer Playstyle, but Survivor Playstyle is needed for one full completion trophy.

Best Platinum Trophy Strategy

Directive 8020 gameplay

The best way to approach the Directive 8020 Platinum is to separate your runs by goal. Do one careful route first for survival, collectibles, messages, and cleaner story outcomes, then use later routes or Turning Points to unlock opposite choices, deaths, scanner outcomes, and missing Character Destinies.

  • Start on Explorer Playstyle first so you can use Turning Points for easier cleanup and route correction.
  • Aim for a safe first route by keeping the crew alive, working toward Humanitarian, Human After All, and Home Free, and collecting as many Secrets as possible.
  • Trigger every available message interaction so you do not miss Social Butterfly.
  • Search every optional area carefully for Curator’s Secrets, Simms’ recordings, general Secrets, and Carter’s Utility Strap.
  • Use Turning Points for alternate choices such as Message in a Bottle and This is Not a Place of Honor.
  • Do a Survivor Playstyle run separately for Live with the Consequences once you already know the safest route.
  • Save bad-outcome trophies for cleanup, including Paint The Walls, Total Party Kill, and We Have Reserves.
  • Finish Character Destinies last because the All Possible Futures trophy requires several different route variations and opposite dialogue choices.
