Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core – What Carries Over Between Runs

Wondering why you can't take your Legendary loot with you between runs? Learn about the three rewards that carry over between runs in Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core.

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core: What Carries Over Between RunsUnlike the original Deep Rock Galactic, only three things carry over between runs in Rogue Core: Intel, Enhancements, and Cosmetics. These make up the core of its roguelite progression system.

They unlock greater challenges, expand your Reclaimer’s customization options, and provide permanent buffs. Everything else resets at the end of a run. Rogue Core is still in Early Access, so these details may change before full release.

1. What Resets After Each Run

Most progression in Rogue Core is temporary. All weapons and upgrades reset when a run ends, including Cooper upgrades and any rewards tied to rarity levels such as Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary.

During each mission, you’ll build a temporary loadout from randomized weapon and upgrade choices. None of those run-based upgrades permanently carry over into future missions.

Rogue Core gives players a choice between several randomized weapons in every run.

Weapons and rarity-based upgrades are randomized during each run and reset afterward.

2. How to Earn Intel

Intel is Rogue Core’s main form of progression. Check the left side of the Mission Terminal for available Intel Tasks, then complete those objectives during a run. Partial Intel Task progress carries into the next run, even after a failed mission, unless it specifically says it must be completed in a single mission.

Intel is Rogue Core's main form of long-term progression.

Intel Tasks persist across runs and retain partial progression unless otherwise stated.

3. How to Earn Enhancements

Enhancements are permanent buffs equipped to Reclaimers in their Loadout. You unlock them by spending Reclaimer Points, and each Enhancement requires an available Enhancement Slot.

Directives are the player's primary source of Reclaimer Points in Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core.

Complete directives and Deployments, turn them in for Reclaimer Points, then spend those points to unlock Enhancements for your Reclaimer loadout.

Earning Reclaimer Points

Reclaimer Points are a special currency earned by turning in completed directives and Deployments. You can also earn them by using Data Terminals and retrieving Security Cameras.

Enhancement Skill Tree

As you purchase lower-tier Enhancements, you’ll begin to unlock stronger versions. Buying enough lower-tier upgrades unlocks the next tier with stronger options. There are four tiers in all.

Enhancement Slots

These determine how many Enhancements a Reclaimer can equip in their Loadout. You start with one slot and can purchase up to seven more.

4. How to Get Cosmetics

Cosmetics are primarily acquired by finding a Cosmetic Box or spending C-Scrips. You can also purchase the Rogue Core Supporter Upgrade DLC for exclusive cosmetics.

Many cosmetics can be purchased in Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core.

Cosmetics don’t affect gameplay, but they help Reclaimers stand out.

  • Cosmetic Boxes: A Cosmetic Box appears at the end of a run before the Gatekeeper.
  • C-Scrip Purchases: Spend C-Scrips on the Cosmetic Sheet tab at the Operations Command station. Earn C-Scrips by completing directives and Deployments to raise your Directive Mastery level.
  • Supporter Upgrade DLC: Comes with the Stalwart Supporter Pickaxe Framework and Paintjob, shiny gold-plated Armor Paintjob for each class, gold-plated gym equipment in the Ramrod’s fitness center, the Supporter Badge, and your in-game chat name is displayed in gold.
