3. New Map: Railway to Golmud
Railway to Golmud is the headline map for Battlefield 6 Season 3. It is a reimagined version of the Battlefield classic Golmud Railway, rebuilt as the largest Battlefield 6 map so far.
The map is designed for full combined-arms warfare, with infantry, tanks, ground vehicles, jets, and helicopters all fighting across villages, hills, valleys, industrial zones, and a moving railway objective.
4. All New Weapons in Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 Season 3 adds three launch weapons through the Battle Pass: M16A4, RPK-74M, and L115. The M16A4 returns as a highly customizable assault rifle with fully automatic and burst-fire capabilities.
The RPK-74M is the new Season 3 LMG. It is chambered in 5.45x39mm, has a faster fire rate than the RPKM, and is built for longer-range sustained pressure. The L115 is the new bolt-action sniper rifle. It is designed for long to very-long range combat and is compatible with multiple hardware attachments.
| Weapon | Class / Type | Release |
|---|---|---|
| M16A4 | Assault Rifle | May 12 – Warlords: Supremacy |
| RPK-74M | Light Machine Gun | May 12 – Warlords: Supremacy |
| L115 | Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle | May 12 – Warlords: Supremacy |
| PP-19 | Submachine Gun | June 9 – Blastpoint |
5. New Attachments
Season 3 adds three launch attachments: Speed Holster, Aftermarket Buffer, and Burst Mode. These attachments are designed to create more loadout variety across primaries and secondaries, especially for players who want faster weapon swaps, better visual recoil control, or burst-fire precision.
| Attachment | Main Stat / Function | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Speed Holster | Improves weapon draw speed | Faster pistol swaps after emptying your primary or when finishing weak enemies |
| Aftermarket Buffer | Reduces visual flinch / visual recoil feedback after firing | Helps keep a cleaner sight picture during repeated shots or sustained fire |
| Burst Mode | Replaces full-auto with burst fire | Better precision at longer ranges, especially on larger maps |
6. Ranked Battle Royale Quads
Ranked Battle Royale Quads arrives with Battlefield 6 Season 3 as the first step toward competitive REDSEC play. It lets squads compete through ranks, earn permanent rewards, and climb toward leaderboard status.
Season 3 also updates Battle Royale mission flow and adds changes such as Loot Detection on Fort Lyndon, mission abandonment support, Assist Confirmed scoring, reduced primary weapon damage against downed players, performance improvements, and several bug fixes.
7. Season 3 Battle Pass and Battlefield Pro
The Season 3 Battle Pass includes 100+ tiers of rewards with hardware, weapon packages, soldier skins, XP boosts, and progression paths. Battlefield Pro expands the Battle Pass with:
- 25 Tier Skips
- +5% XP Booster
- Six instant unlocks
- Special Assignments
- Extra Challenge rerolls
- Exclusive Vehicle Radio Station
- Access to a Bonus Path
- Portal hosting support for up to 100 players
Use the free Battle Pass path first if you mainly want the new weapons. Consider Battlefield Pro only if you want the extra skips, cosmetics, assignments, and bonus progression options.
8. Vehicle Changes in Update 1.3.1.0
Vehicles receive one of the biggest parts of the Season 3 patch. EA says land and air vehicles went through a broad balance and handling pass, including tracked vehicle mobility changes, tank damage and regeneration updates, repair behavior rebalancing, and vehicle weapon tuning.
For pilots, Season 3 also adds new threat indicators for jets and helicopters, including indicators for nearby enemy jets and incoming aim-guided missiles. Air vehicle HUDs now display velocity in knots instead of KPH.
9. Gadget Balance Changes
Season 3 includes a broad gadget pass, especially around anti-vehicle play. The update is meant to make launchers more viable, give anti-vehicle gadgets clearer roles, and improve how support gadgets behave in combat. Main gadget changes in the new patch feature:
- Mine updates.
- Launcher balance changes.
- Portable Mortar updates.
- Engineer Supply Crate changes.
- Hardware Suppression System updates.
- Laser designation tool changes.
- XFGM-6D Recon Drone cooldown increase in Battle Royale.
- Recon Drone zoom functionality removed.
- Supply Bag now gives two magazines for primary and secondary weapons and heals at 20 health per second.
The Ammo Box now refills all magazines for primary and secondary weapons, while the Ammo Crate gives one magazine for primary and secondary weapons.
10. Weapon Balance and Gunplay Updates
Battlefield 6 Season 3 includes a weapon balance and usability pass. Automatic weapon recoil has been adjusted to better define weapon strengths at range, shotguns receive new attachment options, the Magnifier becomes available as a shared optic accessory, and multiple reload, animation, reticle, and attachment issues have been fixed.
