The Guitar Room puzzle is a hidden challenge in Arc Raiders’ Buried City map, where you must press 15 red buttons in an exact sequence to unlock a secret loot room. This room holds legendary guitars, shakers, recorders, candle holders, and other rare items — but the puzzle is strict: any wrong press resets the entire sequence for everyone in the lobby.
1. Guitar Room Puzzle Mechanics in Arc Raiders
This puzzle is not tied to a quest marker — the only in‑game clue is a music notation mural inside a room near the Red Tower that shows the correct note pattern you must replicate by pressing buttons across the map. The puzzle tracks progress globally for the raid, so random players can accidentally ruin progress if they press a button out of turn.
2. How To Get Guitars in Arc Raiders
Solving the Buried City Music puzzle in Arc Raiders allows you to get Guitars. Make sure to follow the music note sequence and press the red buttons to unlock the locked door. The buttons are all scattered around the Buried City map.
3. Guitar Puzzle Button Press Sequence (Musical Order)
Here’s the exact order you must follow. Each button corresponds to a musical note and a specific location, and the complete anthem is CDDF AFG FGFGA CDD.
| Order | Note | Area |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | C | Plaza Rosa |
| 2 | D | Galleria |
| 3 | D | Warehouse |
| 4 | F | Marano Park |
| 5 | A | Grandioso Apartments |
| 6 | F | Piazza Arbusto |
| 7 | G | Library Bus |
| 8 | F | Corso da Vinci |
| 9 | G | Buried Properties |
| 10 | F | Hospital |
| 11 | G | Abandoned Highway Camp |
| 12 | A | Church Ruins |
| 13 | C | Santa Maria Houses |
| 14 | D | Marano Station Tower |
| 15 | D | Red Tower Treasure Room (final) |
4. All Guitar Room Puzzle Button Locations
Locating every button for the Guitar Room Puzzle is a true test of map knowledge and movement efficiency. Each button is hidden in a different point of interest across Buried City, and missing even one can derail your entire run.
4.1 Button 1 — Plaza Rosa (C note)
Your entire Guitar Room run begins here. This first button starts the sequence and must be pressed before any others. It’s located in Plaza Rosa, a high‑traffic zone, so be aware of other raiders. Getting this first press correct sets the musical pattern for the rest of the run.
Location & Steps
- Enter the leftmost building in Plaza Rosa.
- Climb up to the upstairs area.
- Head into the kitchen behind the cabinets.
- Press the red button behind the cabinets. (C note)
4.2 Button 2 — Galleria (D note)
The second button takes you northeast to the large Galleria structure. This location requires navigating rooftops and elevator shafts, so make sure you’re prepared for vertical traversal. This button must be pressed immediately after Button 1.
Location & Steps
- From Plaza Rosa, move north to Galleria.
- Access from the roof — use ziplines or climb up.
- Drop down the elevator shaft and head into the building.
- Follow the path into the electrical room.
- Press the red button on the right wall. (D note)
4.3 Button 3 — Warehouse (D note)
After finishing in the Galleria, you’ll head west to the industrial Warehouse area. This button sits on the roof, so you’ll need to climb. It’s relatively exposed, but quieter than some interiors — perfect for a quick press before heading back into the city’s heart.
Location & Steps
- Head westward to the Warehouse building.
- Climb onto the roof (look for exterior stairs or ziplines).
- Find the button between large vents near the skylights.
- Press it. (D note)
4.4 Button 4 — Marano Park (F note)
Now you’re entering Marano Park, one of the city’s central open areas. Here, the button is hidden inside a small park kiosk — lookout covers and roaming enemies make this a slightly more dangerous spot. This press continues the melody after the two D notes.
Location & Steps
- Enter Marano Park and head to the central stand or kiosk.
- Step inside the structure.
- Hit the red button on the interior right wall. (F note)
4.5 Button 5 — Grandioso Apartments (A note)
Now you’ll move southwest toward a residential complex. This button is inside one of the upper‑floor rooms of Grandioso Apartments. Because you’re indoors, it’s slightly more protected — but also more likely to have players camping around.
Location & Steps
- Head to Grandioso Apartments.
- Ascend to the top floor lounge area.
- Look just behind the couch.
- Press the button. (A note)
4.6 Button 6 — Piazza Arbusto (F note)
This step takes you eastwards to Piazza Arbusto, a plaza with a tall blue house. The button here is outside on a second‑floor ledge, not inside — so expect some vertical movement and exposure to open space.
Location & Steps
- Reach Piazza Arbusto.
- Go to the exterior ledge off the second floor of the blue‑colored building.
- Press the button mounted outside. (F note)
4.7 Button 7 — Library Bus (G note)
Button 7 takes you northward near the Library area, where a derelict bus holds the next switch. This location is easy to spot but can be a choke point, so move quickly and decisively.
Location & Steps
- Head north to the Library area.
- Find the old bus parked behind the structure.
- Enter the bus and press the button inside. (G note)
4.8 Button 8 — Corso da Vinci (F note)
You’ll now loop southeast into the Corso da Vinci neighborhood. Here, the button is tucked inside a collapsed red building, so once inside, pay close attention to the rooms — the button isn’t immediately visible from the street.
Location & Steps
- Go to the Corso da Vinci area.
- Enter the ground‑floor collapsed red building.
- Make your way through the debris inside.
- Press the button on the floor beside a piano. (F note)
4.9 Button 9 — Buried Properties (G note)
Now you’re navigating toward the eastern wide-open area known as Buried Properties. This button sits inside a ruined structure beside a generator, so landmark awareness helps a lot here.
Location & Steps
- Travel east to Buried Properties.
- Locate the ruined building beside the generator.
- Press the button inside. (G note)
4.10 Button 10 — Hospital (F note)
At this stage of the puzzle, you’re entering one of the most dangerous PvP zones in Buried City. The Hospital is frequently contested due to loot density and central positioning, which makes this button especially risky. Speed and awareness matter here — lingering almost guarantees a fight, and dying means the entire sequence is lost.
Location & Steps
- Approach the Hospital from the east side, near the metro entrance.
- Enter at ground level rather than from the roof to avoid exposure.
- Immediately turn left into the stairwell.
- Look under the stairs — the red button is tucked beneath them.
- Press the button to play the F note, then exit quickly.
4.11 Button 11 — Abandoned Highway Camp (G note)
This button shifts the route back toward the southwest, under the crumbling highway overpass. The area is visually cluttered and easy to get disoriented in, but it’s usually less trafficked than the hospital. Knowing exactly where to go prevents wasted time during an already tight sequence.
Location & Steps
- Head southwest toward the Abandoned Highway Camp.
- Move beneath the collapsed overpass structure.
- Use the nearby zipline if available to reach the elevated section.
- Look to the right side of the rubble — the button is partially hidden.
- Press the button to trigger the G note.
4.12 Button 12 — Church Ruins (A note)
Button 12 takes you far southeast, close to the Church Ruins, an area defined by broken stonework and open sightlines. This is one of the easier buttons mechanically, but the exposed layout means you should stay alert for snipers or roaming enemies.
Location & Steps
- Travel to the Church Ruins point of interest.
- Circle around to the southwest side of the ruins.
- The red button is mounted directly on the outer structure.
- Press it to play the A note and continue the melody.
4.13 Button 13 — Santa Maria Houses (C note)
This button is one of the most commonly missed because it’s hidden vertically rather than at ground level. Located inside an attic, it requires correct zipline usage or careful interior navigation. This is also the second C note in the sequence, reinforcing the melody loop.
Location & Steps
- Head to the Santa Maria Houses area.
- Use the zipline from Plaza Rosa to reach the upper level.
- Drop down through the roof hatch near your landing point.
- Inside the attic, look left near the bookcase.
- Press the button to activate the C note.
4.14 Button 14 — Semi-Buried Bell Tower (D note)
This penultimate button is located in the northwest section of the map inside a semi-buried bell tower. It’s relatively quiet compared to earlier locations, but at this point, pressure is high — one mistake here means restarting the entire run.
Location & Steps
- Travel northwest to the bell tower structure.
- Hop over the broken railing to enter the interior.
- Inside, you’ll see a pedestal in the center.
- Press the red button on top to play the D note.
4.15 Button 15 — Red Tower Treasure Room (Final D note)
This is the final step of the Guitar Room puzzle and the moment everything pays off. The last button is located directly in front of the sealed treasure room door, just north of the Red Tower. If — and only if — every previous button was pressed in the correct order, this press will instantly complete the sequence.
Location & Steps
- Move to the building north of the Red Tower.
- Enter from the ground floor.
- You’ll see a locked door with a red button directly in front of it.
- Press the button to trigger the final D note.
- If successful, the door opens instantly, and fireworks erupt across the map.
After completing the Guitar Room puzzle and unlocking the sealed door, inside you’ll find guitars, shakers, recorders, candle holders, and other rare and legendary items. Instruments are playable, letting you show off to other raiders.
5. Best Strategy For Guitar Room Puzzle
The Guitar Room puzzle is less about combat skill and more about speed, coordination, and route discipline. Buried City’s layout forces constant back-and-forth traversal, and because the puzzle is server-wide, you’re almost guaranteed to encounter PvP pressure along the way.
- Prepare before deploying. Assume heavy PvP and a tight timer. Go in with a full team, mobility gear, and a pre-planned route. Improvising during the run almost always leads to failure.
- Split up early instead of moving as one group. The map layout forces constant crisscrossing between buttons. Staying together wastes time and makes beating the timer nearly impossible.
- Assign routes and button responsibilities. Decide in advance who is pressing which buttons so no one hesitates or backtracks during the run.
- Keep moving at all times. Stopping for even a minute can ruin the attempt. Looting, waiting, or unnecessary detours will quickly push you past the timer.
- Avoid PvP unless absolutely forced. Fights slow you down and rarely benefit the run. Breaking contact is almost always better than committing to a full engagement.
- Treat the puzzle like a speedrun. Even efficient runs barely reach extraction in time, so every movement needs to be deliberate and fast.
- Do not attempt solo runs unless necessary. Solo clears are extremely intense and can be reset by other players. A coordinated team is far more consistent.
- Memorize the full route beforehand. Knowing button locations and the correct sequence prevents hesitation and costly mistakes mid-run.
- Bring mobility-focused gear. Adrenaline shots, ziplines, and stamina boosts matter more than combat power and can decide whether the run succeeds.
- Press buttons carefully and in the correct order. Always confirm the yellow light before moving on, as a single wrong press resets the entire puzzle.
