Daniele Rugani (Juventus)
Daniele Rugani is a very decent 28-year-old center-back with a surprisingly affordable 1-4.9 million transfer valuation. This is a defender good enough to play for the Italian national team (he has seven caps), with positioning, tackling, and marking attribute ratings of 14-15. Rugani’s physical game is strong with strength, balance, stamina, pace, and natural fitness attribute ratings in the 14-16 range. He’s also very strong in the air (handy for defending against crosses and corners) and an excellent team player.
Talisca (Al-Nassr)
Talisca is a technically gifted forward and attacking midfielder with an 8.4 million valuation that makes him one of the great bargain players in Football Manager 2024. He has excellent technical attribute ratings of 16-17 for finishing, free-kick taking, heading, long shots, and technique. This 29-year-old player also has numerous other good attribute ratings of 14-15 for dribbling, first touch, jumping reach, natural fitness, strength, crossing, passing, penalty-taking, and anticipation.
Ricardo Rodriguez (Torino)
Rodriguez is an experienced 30-year-old left-back (wing-back and full-back) who has played 108 games for Switzerland (and many matches for AC-Milan too). The 6-7.4 million price tag attached to this player is surprisingly low for a defender with a strong all-round game. Ricardo has decent attribute ratings of 14 for tackling, positioning, teamwork, free kicks, crossing, decisions, determination, balance, and bravery. This defender’s biggest strengths are his great natural fitness and long throws. Rodriguez’s versatility is also pretty good for he can play in the center of defense or on the left.
Facunda Torres (Orlando City)
Torres is a relatively young 23-year-old player with future potential who can play as a left or right winger or center forward. He has numerous good attribute ratings of 15 for dribbling, technique, vision, determination, agility, penalty-taking, and acceleration. However, Facunda’s greatest strength is his excellent flair, which makes him a player capable of extraordinary trickery. The 5.6-8.2 million value for Torres in 2023 is already too low, but the future potential for this player’s attribute ratings to increase further makes him an even bigger bargain.
David De Gea (Free Agent)
David De Gea is the ex-Manchester Utd goalkeeper available for free in Football Manager 2024 because his contract has expired. Bargains don’t get much better than signing a top-class goalkeeper with 45 Spanish caps for free. De Gea is a 32-year-old keeper with outstanding reflexes and excellent agility. He also has very decent handling, determination, aerial reach, jumping reach, and positioning attribute ratings to boot. His goalkeeping distribution has a few shortcomings, but he’s still one of the best bargain players in Football Manager 2024.
Thiago Almada (Atlanta Utd)
Thiago’s 11-16.5 million transfer valuation makes him one of the pricier players on this list. However, that’s a small price for a 22-year-old attacking winger and midfielder with great technical attributes ratings of 15-16 for dribbling, free kicks, long shots, passing, first touch, and technique. His flair, vision, determination, decisions, balance, agility, and acceleration attribute ratings are also within the same range. This lad has already played for Argentina, and he has the potential to be a world-class player.
Paulo Dybala (Roma)
Dybala is a ridiculously undervalued 29-year-old forward and attacking midfielder you can snap up for 10.25 million thanks to his foreign club minimum release fee. He’s a top-class player with outstanding technical attribute ratings of 17-19 for technique, passing, long shots, free kicks, dribbling, vision, balance, flair, and agility. Paulo’s attribute ratings of 14-16 for finishing, crossing, corners, off-ball-movement, anticipation, acceleration, penalty, and decisions aren’t too shabby either.
Houssem Aouar (Roma)
Aouar is a decent central midfielder worth somewhat more than his low 425k-3.7 million value range. He’s a creative player with great first touch, passing, vision, and technique attribute ratings in the 16-17 range. Houssem’s good flair, teamwork, dribbling, and agility are also noteworthy strengths of his game. Aouar will probably at least be a valuable backup player for many top-flight squads, and his cheap price tag makes him a good bargain player in Football Manager 2024.
Those bargain players in Football Manager 2024 are certainly worth adding to your shortlist, at least. However, the transfer values for the younger players on that list, such as Thiago and Facunda, can significantly increase if you don’t sign them sooner rather than later. It’s also better to sign the older bargain players sooner before their attribute ratings start deteriorating. So, grab them while they’re hot in 2023 or 2024.
