Top 8 Best Games Releasing In June 2026

Welcome back to another list of the best games coming out this month. After a busy first half of the year, June appears to be a little quieter than recent months. Even so, there’s still a good mix of games to look forward to, ranging from early access RPGs, remakes, multiplayer releases, and more. Now, before we talk about June, let’s recap some highlights from May.

Last month had some great new additions to our game libraries, like the terrifying sci-fi adventure, Directive 8020. There’s also Subnautica 2, which brought out our explorer’s spirit. Then, we all put on the cowl and descended into Gotham City in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Finally, we got our hands on the game of the year contender, 007: First Light, which gave a fine spy thriller.

1. Fatekeeper

Starting our list is a fantasy RPG heading into early access called Fatekeeper. Fatekeeper has a narrative to uncover, but encourages players to explore the world. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters. 

In this first-person RPG, discover, loot, and master a wide variety of weapons, armour, and artefacts. 3. Gothic 1 Remake

Want another remake? Then here’s our next pick, the return of the legendary RPG, Gothic 1. Experience the original 2001 RPG classic fully rebuilt using current-gen technology, preserving its iconic atmosphere while enhancing the gameplay for a fluid and dynamic experience.

DLC/Update Spotlight: Destiny 2 – Monument of Triumpth (Final Update)

Return to the world of Destiny 2 for one last hurrah, maybe slay a god or two

For June’s DLC/Update spotlight, we take a look at the final update for Destiny 2. Titled “Monument of Triumpth“, this final update aims to celebrate Destiny 2 as a whole, bringing together experiences across the game’s lifespan.

It’s also designed to leave Destiny 2 in a state where players can return at any time and enjoy a variety of fulfilling and rewarding activities. Story-wise, there will be some small character beats meant to position the game’s characters in interesting places across the universe. 

All PVE and PVP activities alongside destinations have had their associated loot pool refreshed with updated weapons and armour to earn. The Pantheon raid activity returns permanently, with weapons and cosmetics from past seasonal holiday events obtainable.

The reward pass from the previously planned Shadow and Order update will be available, giving players those planned rewards as they play. Sparrow Racing League (SRL) returns as a permanent addition, reopening tracks from the original Destiny experience and adding a new space to race opponents on.

5. Denshattack

Take back the tracks with nothing but skill, speed, and style.

Our next pick might be the zaniest game on our list in a while. In Denshattack, hop aboard your gravity-defying train and embark on a hectic quest to defeat the sinister Miraidō corporation.

Face off against a lineup of reimagined Japanese trains, gain the respect of an underground network of gangs and rebels, and turn rivals to allies as you master your skills. Now it’s time to cater to our multiplayer gamers with the new entry in the Hell Let Loose series. In Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history.

7. Abyssus

Need more multiplayer experiences? Well, why not a cooperative one that’s coming to consoles this month? Abyssus is a fast-paced roguelike multiplayer FPS shooter. You’ll play as a daring explorer, recruited to claim a rare and powerful substance called Brine from a massive deposit located beneath the ruins of an ancient civilisation.

However, your mission becomes a frantic battle for survival when the sunken kingdom’s corrupted inhabitants rise against you. Team up with fellow Brinehunters and carefully choose synergic loadouts, skills, suits, and weapon mods. Work together and fight through a merciless roguelite gauntlet, where no run is the same as the last.

Gather your friends and fight through gorgeous hand-crafted levels in a roguelite adventure that will put your tactical skills to the ultimate test. The world of Abyssus is richly atmospheric and steeped in mystery. What untold secrets lie in the sunken kingdom? What gives brine its inexplicable powers? Can we weaponise an anglerfish? The answers lie deep down below.

8. Star Fox

Team up with friends through the Campaign and other game modes

Finally, we end our list with the return of Star Fox in a gorgeous new remake. Star Fox is a cinematic take on the Star Fox 64 game, where you’ll play as legendary pilot, Fox McCloud, and his crew: Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, and Slippy Toad.

The story remains mostly the same, but the remake has added fresh cutscenes and new story moments between characters, expanding the game’s cast. Most notably, the remake will get a prologue mission featuring Fox’s father, James McCloud.

Star Fox is an on-rails third-person shooter set across the Lylat system, a sci-fi galaxy of planets, space stations, and asteroid fields. The core on-rails shooter formula from Star Fox 64 remains intact, with players using lasers, bombs, somersaults, and barrel rolls to survive each stage.

Star Fox features three distinct game modes: Campaign, Challenge, and Battle. Campaign mode features branching paths and three difficulty levels. Challenge mode features new tasks on already completed levels. Battle mode pits you against opponents in 4v4 skirmishes across three dedicated stages.
