Top 8 Best Games Releasing In June 2026Welcome back to another list of the best games coming out this month. After a busy first half of the year, June appears to be a little quieter than recent months. Even so, there’s still a good mix of games to look forward to, ranging from early access RPGs, remakes, multiplayer releases, and more. Now, before we talk about June, let’s recap some highlights from May.

Last month had some great new additions to our game libraries, like the terrifying sci-fi adventure, Directive 8020. There’s also Subnautica 2, which brought out our explorer’s spirit. Then, we all put on the cowl and descended into Gotham City in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Finally, we got our hands on the game of the year contender, 007: First Light, which gave a fine spy thriller.

For June’s DLC/Update spotlight, we take a look at the final update for Destiny 2. Titled “Monument of Triumpth“, this final update aims to celebrate Destiny 2 as a whole, bringing together experiences across the game’s lifespan.

It’s also designed to leave Destiny 2 in a state where players can return at any time and enjoy a variety of fulfilling and rewarding activities. Story-wise, there will be some small character beats meant to position the game’s characters in interesting places across the universe. 

All PVE and PVP activities alongside destinations have had their associated loot pool refreshed with updated weapons and armour to earn. The Pantheon raid activity returns permanently, with weapons and cosmetics from past seasonal holiday events obtainable.

The reward pass from the previously planned Shadow and Order update will be available, giving players those planned rewards as they play. Sparrow Racing League (SRL) returns as a permanent addition, reopening tracks from the original Destiny experience and adding a new space to race opponents on.

Finally, we end our list with the return of Star Fox in a gorgeous new remake. Star Fox is a cinematic take on the Star Fox 64 game, where you’ll play as legendary pilot, Fox McCloud, and his crew: Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, and Slippy Toad.

The story remains mostly the same, but the remake has added fresh cutscenes and new story moments between characters, expanding the game’s cast. Most notably, the remake will get a prologue mission featuring Fox’s father, James McCloud.

Star Fox is an on-rails third-person shooter set across the Lylat system, a sci-fi galaxy of planets, space stations, and asteroid fields. The core on-rails shooter formula from Star Fox 64 remains intact, with players using lasers, bombs, somersaults, and barrel rolls to survive each stage.

Star Fox features three distinct game modes: Campaign, Challenge, and Battle. Campaign mode features branching paths and three difficulty levels. Challenge mode features new tasks on already completed levels. Battle mode pits you against opponents in 4v4 skirmishes across three dedicated stages.
