5 Predictions For WWE’s SummerSlam 2025

Here are my five predictions for WWE’s SummerSlam. 2025 marks a new chapter in this PPV’s history, as it will be the first SummerSlam to feature a two-night show. The event happens this weekend at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

5 Predictions For WWE's SummerSlam 2025

Coming to us from New Jersey, John Cena’s last SummerSlam happens to be the first one to extend into two nights. It will go down this weekend on August 2nd and 3rd. Cardi B will serve as the hostess of the event. Talent like Solo, Gunther, Punk, and Becky Lynch will be competing at the event. Here are five predictions I think may happen at the PLE

1. Tiffany Stratton Holds off Jade Cargill for a Victory

Can Tiffy Time weather The Storm?

The WWE Women’s Championship will be on the line when Tiffany and Jade meet at SummerSlam. This match will be exciting to watch, as both women have a powerful presence about them. Also, these two competitors have been picking up steam on the main roster in a short amount of time.

Even though Jade Cargill has a strong chance to win… I’m going with Tiffany Stratton to keep her championship.

2. Becky Lynch Loses to Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam

Recently coming back to the company, Becky Lynch is sporting a new attitude. Neither Becky nor Lyra likes the other, and this will lead to chaos come SummerSlam. Lyra Valkyria gets one more chance to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, as the stipulation for the match is that if Lyra loses, then she can’t challenge Becky Lynch for the title again.

I believe that Valkyria will defeat Becky at SummerSlam

3. John Cena will Continue his Championship Run by Winning at SummerSlam

Will John Cena’s final run see another victory?

This will be Cena’s final SummerSlam, as he’s planning to retire by the end of the year. His last SummerSlam opponent will be Cody Rhodes. The match will be a street fight, so it will be more unpredictable. This gives Cena the edge as his new persona doesn’t care how he wins matches as long as he wins them.

With that being said, I believe John Cena will retain his championship.

4. Gunther Walks Out of SummerSlam Still a Champion

Having just beaten Goldberg in his retirement match, I see Gunther still riding a wave of confidence after that win, and that’s what makes me think Gunther will win at SummerSlam against CM Punk. Plus, Gunther needs to reclaim some of the loses that he picked up prior to the Goldberg match. This promises to be the match that shocks everyone with how good it will be.

5. Jacob Fatu Reclaims Gold Against Solo Sikoa

Can Fatu win the title against the new leader of The Bloodline inside a steel cage?

Can Fatu win the title against the new leader of The Bloodline inside a steel cage?

Ever since the disbandment of the original Bloodline, Solo Sikoa has been trying to keep his status as the current leader of the group (and the New Bloodline) on solid grounds. Unfortunately, that has hit a snag when it comes to his former enforcer, Jacob Fatu. Solo believes that Fatu betrayed him as he is the one who brought him into the company, and Jacob thinks that he was more used by Solo than a part of the group.

A steel cage match awaits them both at SummerSlam. I think this match will be won by Jacob Fatu to solidify him as a powerful individual within the WWE.
