Now that the dust has settled in this year’s very explosive edition of WWE SummerSlam, which went down in the city of Detroit, we now set our sights on the next major event that is coming up which is WWE Payback. Things like The Judgment Day, and whether they can keep their heads together in their quest to take over Raw, and what now happens to The Bloodline? Here are five predictions as to what can happen right after the hottest party of the summer.
JD McDonagh Joins The Judgment Day
After weeks of speculation, JD McDonagh seems to be gearing up to join the ranks of The Judgment Day after he was spotted talking with Finn Balor, who is the leader of the faction, in the backstage area this week on Raw. Of course, Damian Priest also came to greet Finn in the least warm of ways…so there still seems to be some rift between those two. But, regardless of whether or not Priest leaves the faction, it appears that JD McDonagh is joining them sooner rather than later.
Becky Lynch Concludes Things With Trish Stratus
It appears that the time for the feud involving Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus is about to come to a head in the next coming weeks. They have traded bitter verbal jabs at one another, and now a match will go down between the two one last time. Becky Lynch will ultimately win that match against the woman that believes she paved the way for the current crop of female talent in the company. This will be a fierce fight nevertheless and will lead to Trish Stratus unleashing her protégé, Zoey Stark, on Becky after the match has concluded.
Solo Sikoa Betrays Roman Reigns and Aligns With Jey Uso
After the chaotic ending to SummerSlam…one thing that we have discovered is that nothing is impossible when it comes to The Bloodline. With this being the case, I’m going with Solo striking down Roman Reigns and thus joining forces with Jey Uso. He will do this, I believe, for two reasons. To even up the score after Jimmy Uso turned on Jey Uso. And, to also quietly become the next Tribal Chief for the faction. This will more than likely lead to a tag match between Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso versus Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso.
Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes’ Feud Reignites
If there was one thing we found out during the Raw after SummerSlam…is that Seth “Freakin'” Rollins hasn’t forgotten the throwdown that he and Rhodes had when Cody Rhodes returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38. Now that Cody Rhodes has finished his encounter with Brock Lesnar, it appears that this rivalry can once again commence. Also, since Seth Rollins is the current World Heavyweight Champion…he might want to show that he is the better competitor at the end of the day, seeing that he lost three times in a row to Cody Rhodes before Rhodes went down with an injury. Seth might want to have the last laugh (which he can do so well.)
LA Knight Faces Off Against The Miz
The Miz is livid with LA Knight because of the disrespect he believes that he showed him at SummerSlam. Having over 20 years under his belt with the company, The Miz expects the newcomers to treat him with more acknowledgment than they have been doing. It looks like he is planning to make LA Knight the first example of what happens when you are new and disrespect him. When it is all said and done, however, I believe that LA Knight will win this bout against the A-Lister.
