Future Seasons

Many fans are disappointed that this series will only consist of 6 animated shorts. It’s a great idea and it’s very marketable. So, it’s baffling that Lucasfilm isn’t doing more with this concept. Perhaps this series will be successful enough to warrant future installments, but as of now, Tales of the Jedi is only running for 6 episodes. Hence, these 6 shorts better be special because fans aren’t going to be happy if this idea is wasted. Let’s hope that Tales of the Jedi is a smash hit and that its success leads to future installments.

Great Lightsaber Duels

Making quality action sequences is an effective way to create rewatch value. The most commonly rewatched episodes of The Clone Wars are the ones with lightsaber duels, since watching powerful beings attempt to kill each other with laser swords is very captivating. So, animating great lightsaber duels is a great way to make the most out of these 6 shorts.

The trailer confirms that this series will feature a number of force users including Count Dooku, Ahsoka Tano, Qui-Gon Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, Tera Sinube, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Yaddle, and an unnamed Inquisitor. Furthermore, it shows a few seconds of a duel between Count Dooku and Yaddle, which is exciting. Though truly, lightsaber duels featuring any of those characters would be awesome.

Count Dooku’s Turn To The Dark Side

Count Dooku’s time as a Jedi has never been portrayed on-screen before. So, Tales of the Jedi has a unique opportunity to show fans what he was like before becoming Darth Tyranus. Perhaps fans will get to witness some events that contributed to his fall to the Dark Side.

Much of The Clone Wars explored Anakin Skywalker’s transformation from Jedi Knight into Sith Lord. However, there isn’t only one way that people become evil. So, Tales of the Jedi has a chance to explore another route to darkness by exposing another character’s transformation. Hopefully fans will get a glimpse of Count Dooku’s turn to the Dark Side in this series.

Qui-Gon Jinn’s Path

This character has always been underused. Qui-Gon Jinn is one of the most unique Jedi of the Star Wars franchise, but he’s never gotten much screen time outside of The Phantom Menace. So, fans are very excited to see him as a padawan in Tales of the Jedi, and as a bonus Liam Neeson is returning to voice the character. Hopefully viewers will get a glimpse of how Qui-Gon Jinn became the wise Jedi Master that gets slain by Darth Maul in Episode 1.

Ahsoka Between Star Wars: The Clone Wars And Rebels

Ahsoka Tano has become a fan-favorite character and she’s one of the main stars of Tales of the Jedi. The trailer shows her during a few different stages of her life, including as an infant, as Anakin’s Padawan, and what appears to be between The Clone Wars and Rebels. That’s a gap in her story that many fans have been hoping to see filled for a long time. It appears that Ahsoka will face off against a new Inquisitor in Tales of the Jedi, which should be an awesome duel.

That concludes this breakdown of 5 hopes for Tales of the Jedi. The release date is only about a month away, so the wait is almost over.
