Playing games with your friends is an enjoyable experience. Bogos Binted continues that trend with elimination card games, testing your planning and luck. There are several game variations for you to play with friends as well as solo games should you need practice. Should your friends not be available, you can also go online to play with others around the world. You never know how a game turns out, making it exciting to play.
Bogos Binted does a good job explaining the rules and helping you start playing. Games are quick and elimination rounds with four players prevents the game from dragging out too long. Playing with your friends is the only viable way to try multiplayer as online rooms are mostly empty. This also means you can’t fully experience the game if you don’t know others who can play. Should you have friends with copies of Bogos Binted, you can have a great time.
Bogos Binted is available on PC for USD 5.49.
Story – Games with Friends
The premise of Bogos Binted is similar to every multiplayer game: play a variety of games with friends. Similar to games like Deck of Haunts, there’s no big story or themes. You are setting up games with friends or joining someone else’s game. There may be some competition or planning but once a game ends, you start another one. Solo play doesn’t offer any narrative either, it’s just playing with your friends or the computer if you wish to practice.
Gameplay – Fast Elimination
While the game’s objective depends on what you are playing, the goal is always to be the last man standing. You often play with friends or by yourself similar to games like Hellbreach: Vegas. Some games involve you aiming to be the first to fully discard the cards in your hand as an example. You come up with strategies or hope for the best as you try to survive. Sometimes your opponents drop out and sometimes it’s you.
It’s fast-paced gameplay filled with luck and strategy, depending on the right circumstances to turn things around. Players may do well until someone else gets lucky and exploits said luck. This levels the playing field even if someone develops a strategy. While you can always guess and plan ahead, you never know if someone can counter what you are doing. If success is never guaranteed, the game remains interesting.
There are two disadvantages to the gameplay. First is the lack of multiplayer games if you don’t have friends who have copies. Online lobbies are mostly filled with friend-only games and searching for other players can take hours. Most of the games are only available in multiplayer meaning you aren’t able to experience them without friends.
There aren’t many variations either meaning you can’t play the games too often without quickly getting bored. If you can’t play quick games with friends, Bogos Binted loses a lot of its appeal.
Audio & Visual – Simple 3D with sound effects
Bogos Binted has aliens playing games around a table as the main visuals. You can change the environments but they don’t have a big impact on gameplay. The game details are clear and distinct; you know what you are doing. Music plays in the background but the most notable sound effect is a player being eliminated.
- You can clearly see what each card can and cannot do.
- It’s a game where you play until you are the last man standing.
- Seeing the cards you encounter helps you devise strategies.
- Playing online can be a difficult task, cutting off most of the game.
