The March Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase revealed the content coming to the game in its first update, available from April 4, 2025. This includes new monsters, the possible addition of Lagiacrus to Monster Hunter Wilds, and more content detailed below.
New Monsters
Updates often come with a new monster and a variant of an existing one, and this was no exception. However, this time, there is also a creature that is not exactly an addition.
Mizutsune
The bubble Leviathan, which debuted in Monster Hunter Generations, comes to the Wilds. To face it, you must reach hunter rank 21 or higher and talk to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest to unlock the mission.

Zoh Shia
Although it’s not a new species or variant, Zoh Shia could only be hunted once during story events. Now, you can face it freely in a mission that you can unlocked after completing a specific task within hunter rank 50. This will allow farming its armor.

New Location – The Grand Hub
This area will function as the classic gathering hall from the saga, where you can enjoy various activities such as the Barrel Bowling minigame, listen to the Diva sing, or test your strength in arm-wrestling with other players. It unlocks upon reaching hunter rank 16 and speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja, Peaks of Accord.

Arena Quests
The arena quests will be accessible from The Grand Hub and will include a Espedition Record Board to compare times with other players and compete for the best record.
- Challenge Quests: can only be played in teams of up to 2 hunters and will reward with weapon pendants.
- Free Challenge Quests: allow teams of up to 4 hunters and let you use your own gear.
As is tradition, the arena quests require using preset teams, except in the open challenge missions.
Downloadable Content (DLC)
Following the model of World and Rise, Monster Hunter Wilds will have paid and free DLC, accessible at no additional cost for those who own the Premium Deluxe Edition or the Cosmetic DLC Pass.
Alma’s Outfits
Alma will have customization options for her attire, accessible from the Appearance menu in the camps. Ypu can also change Alma’s glasses after completing certain tasks. Although there will be free options, most of the outfits will be part of the paid content.
The classic gestures from the pre-Monster Hunter World era will be available as free downloadable content. This includes iconic animations from previous games, such as the village salute, the prance dance, and the taunt gesture, among others. If you’re feeling nostalgic, you’ll be able to use them to express yourself in a more classic way within the game.
Cosmetic DLC Pack 1
This first paid cosmetic content pack will include a weapon pendant, new gestures, hairstyles, makeup, layered armor for the hunter and the Felyne, decorations for the Seikret, stickers, and other cosmetic items. It can be purchased individually or as part of the Cosmetic DLC Pass.
- Layered Armor included in the pack.

Seasonal Event – Festival of Accord: Blossomdance
Starting April 23rd, The Grand Hub will be the stage for seasonal events, beginning with Blossomdance. During this limited time, the area’s appearance will change, there will be themed food, and it will be possible to obtain gestures, equipment, and temporary ornaments. Additionally, past event quests will return.
Roadmap
To close the event, Capcom presented its short-term roadmap, confirming that a new update will arrive at the end of May with additional content and a collaboration with another title from the company. It was also mentioned the intention to add a list that records the local fauna captured by the hunters.
Each update usually includes a new monster, and we had a first look at a mysterious one that will arrive in the May update. Although only a fragment of its body was shown, its resemblance to Lagiacrus is evident, so this monster might arrive in May in Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Lagiacrus.
- New mysterious monster.
This leviathan debuted in Monster Hunter Tri for Wii and is one of the monsters most requested by fans since Monster Hunter World. It is undoubtedly a monster whose return excites all fans of the saga.
