It’s that time of year again when we tune in to the Xbox Games Showcase to see a bunch of new announcements and updates on games. This year’s showcase brought in a ton of new games, both exclusive and multiplatform. From the zany space adventures, colourful puzzle games, breathtaking cinematic experiences, and a game about a walking lighthouse, Xbox gave us quite the show. This recap goes through every reveal from world premieres, updates, DLC, and brand new hardware. Here’ everything you missed from this year’s Xbox Games Showcase.
New Hardware – Xbox Handheld Finally Revealed
That’s right, folks. Today, we got our first look at the ASUS Xbox Handheld console, the ROG Xbox Ally. Two versions of the unit will be available at launch: the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. Currently, no price has been revealed for either console. Here is some more info regarding both versions down below:
ROG Xbox Ally
Powered by the AMD Ryzen™ Z2 A Processor, this aims to balance performance and power consumption to maximise battery life without sacrificing gameplay quality. The ROG Xbox Ally comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. life
ROG Xbox Ally X
Featuring an AMD Ryzen™ AI Z2 Extreme processor, the ROG Xbox Ally X will provide greater frames-per-second, sharp visuals, and double the storage. The ROG Xbox Ally X has 24GB of high-speed RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
World Premiere’s
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Surprising probably everyone on the stream, the final reveal was Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. No release date was revealed, though probably sometime in Q4 2025 and it will launch on Xbox Game Pass. We did get some campaign knowledge like both David Mason and Raul Menendez returning. Another surprise was that David Mason will be played by Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes, This Is Us).
High on Life 2
Coming this Winter, the comedic Sci-Fi bounty-hunting game High on Life returns in a brand new sequel, arriving day one on Xbox Game Pass. This time, you’ll be thrown into an intergalactic conspiracy that will threaten the fate of humanity. Armed with a wide cast of talking guns, you’ll shoot, stab, and skate your way through exotic locations to take down the bad guys.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
Another surprise (if you weren’t on social media at the time) is a new A Plague Tale game called Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. The game is set to release sometime in 2026 and day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Grounded 2
Alongside The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed, Obsidian is releasing its third game this year, Grounded 2. Scheduled for release on Game Preview on July 29th, continue your adventure in a whole new location with new critters and mysteries to discover. If you’re looking for more details, Obsidian revealed more during a stream after the Xbox Games Showcase.
Super Meat Boy 3D
We got our first look at the brand new Super Meat Boy game with the big reveal of it being a 3D platformer. Arriving early 2026, Super Meat Boy 3D is another day one release for Xbox Game Pass.
Beast of Reincarnation
Marking a departure from Game Freak’s usual work, Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG coming in 2026. Arriving day one on Xbox Game Pass, play as Emma and Koo as they push deeper into the unknown and work together to fight off deadly creatures.
Aphelion
We got the reveal of Don’t Nod’s (Life is Strange) new Sci-Fi game, Aphelion, that’s scheduled to arrive sometime in 2026. Another day one for Xbox Game Pass, you’ll play as astronaut Ariane, stranded on a frozen planet searching for her wounded partner, Thomas.
There Are No Ghosts At The Grand
Probably one of the more strange and enticing games in the lineup, There Are No Ghosts At The Grand is a spooky, cosy, musical mystery game coming sometime in 2026. Another day one for Xbox Game Pass, become a reluctant heir to a rundown hotel and use intriguing gadgets to solve restoration puzzles while piecing together this supernatural tale.
Mudang: Two Hearts
Developed & published by EVR studio, Mudang: Two Hearts is a cinematic third-person action adventure game. You’ll play as multiple characters during a terrorist attack at the South Korean National Assembly on the day a new bill unifying North & South Korea was meant to pass. Currently, the game’s release is scheduled for sometime in 2026.
Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf
Another sequel, this time for the Sci-Fi puzzle adventure game Planet of Lana. The sequel will continue the adventures of Lana and Mui as they navigate Novo’s changed world after the robot invasion. Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf is coming sometime in 2026 and day one for Xbox Game Pass.
Solo Levelling: Arise Overdrive
The hit anime Solo Levelling is getting an action RPG that is scheduled for release sometime in 2026.
Aniimo
Next, we got a Palworld-like game called Aniimo, a free-to-play open world ARPG that’s releasing sometime during 2026. Featuring both PvE and PvP combat, you’ll play as a pathfinder where you’ll collect, evolve, and become magical creatures called Aniimo.
At Fates End
At Fate’s End is an action-adventure game from the creators of Spiritfarer. Coming in 2026 to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC and day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Persona 4 Revival
After some rumours before the event, Persona 4 Revival revealed itself and is coming to Xbox Game Pass day one. Sadly, there is no release date, but it has been announced for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud and PS5.
Invincible VS
A new fighting game announced, set in the Invincible universe, was revealed for sometime in 2026. Invincible VS is a brutal, bloody, and frenetic 3v3 tag fighter featuring characters like Invincible, Atom Eve and Omni Man.
Keeper
Our last world premiere is a new game from Double Fine Productions called Keeper. Not much information is made available from the trailer other than that you’ll be playing as a walking lighthouse. Luckily, we won’t be waiting long, Keeper releases on October 17th and will be coming to Xbox Game Pass day one.
Updates On Already Revealed Games
The Outer Worlds 2
The quirky sci-fi RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment announced it’ll be releasing on October 29th and day one on Xbox Game Pass. We got a brand new story trailer showcasing the corrupt corporation Auntie Cleo alongside the new factions of Arcadia. The Outer Worlds 2 got a separate in-depth look after the Xbox Games Showcase.
Ninja Gaiden 4
The next entry in the Ninja Gaiden franchise got a brand new trailer featuring a release date for Xbox Game Pass on October 21st. Ninja Gaiden 4 features breathtaking ninja action where legacy meets innovation in a high-octane blend of style and no-holds-barred combat.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4
Just before its July release, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4 get a brand new launch trailer. Featuring everything you loved from the original games but revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, and more. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+4 will release day one on Xbox Game Pass.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
We got a new trailer for the upcoming dark action-role-playing game developed by Rebel Wolves. The Blood of Dawnwalker is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2026.
Gears of War: Reloaded
Microsoft delivered another Gears of War: Reloaded trailer featuring fresh gameplay ahead of its August 26th release. The big news is that two beta weekends are scheduled for the upcoming weeks of June. Weekend 1 will start on June 13th until June 15th, and Weekend 2 will start on June 20th until June 22nd. Owners of Gears: Ultimate Edition and Xbox Game Pass members are invited to the beta alongside anyone who has preordered Reloaded.
Clockwork Revolution
After some time, Clockwork Revolution has reappeared with a good look at its first-person gameplay. Unfortunately, there’s still no release date, but it is still scheduled to release day one for Xbox Game Pass.
Cronos: The New Dawn
We got a new trailer for Bloober Team’s next horror game, Cronos: The New Dawn. Featuring a further look at gameplay, the horrifying monsters you fight, story details, and a release for Xbox in fall 2025.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants
After releasing on PlayStation earlier in the year, fans of all platforms have been waiting for more Indy news. Wait no more! Indiana Jones and the Order of Giants is coming September 4th on all platforms.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Season of the Worm
We got our latest look at ESO with some new details for their Season of the Worm launching this June. One thing that caught my eye was the reveal of the first world-changing server-wide event coming this October.
Age of Mythology Retold: Heavenly Spear
Releasing in the fall, a new DLC for Age of Mythology Retold was revealed, titled Heavenly Spear.
Fallout 76: Gone Fission
Just like with ESO, Bethesda’s other long-running live service game, Fallout 76, is getting a new update. Titled Gone Fission, the update focuses on the new fishing gameplay and the seasonal rewards that come with it. This update is available right now!
Sea of Thieves Season 17: Smugglers’ Tide
The next season for Rare’s swashbuckling action adventure game has been revealed. You’ll get to take on a new role and embark on new missions with your friends this August.
Final Fantasy XVI & FFVII Remake: Intergrade
That’s right, both Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade are heading to Xbox. While Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade is set for release sometime later this year, Final Fantasy XVI is available now!
