On February 6th, Whitethorn Games hosted their annual Winter Showcase for 2025, where they make several announcements about their games. This could be brand-new game releases, new platform releases, DLC announcements, or game updates. If you missed the showcase this year or want a reminder of what was announced, we’ll go through it all here.
Here’s everything that was announced at Whitethorn Games’ Winter Showcase 2025.
New DLC for Calico
You may be familiar with the cat café sim game Calico. If not, the premise is that you rebuild a town’s cat café by filling it with furniture, decorations, pastries, and of course, cute animal friends! Since its release, Calico has seen success. Now, it has its first DLC.
The new DLC for Calico is titled Neat Things. This add-on includes the following:
- New Quest – In the ‘Neat Things Scavenger Hunt’, go on the hunt around the island for neat things!
- New Area – Mermaid Cove can be accessed via Clover Cove. At Mermaid Cove, you’ll also meet a new NPC: a mermaid called Nahla.
- New Animals – Neat Things is adding new animals to befriend, including a raccoon, axolotl, elephant, golden retriever, and cat.
- New Arcade Mini-Games – At the Cutie City arcade, two new mini-games have been added.
- New Decorations for the Café – With the new furniture added in, you can create an aquatic-themed cat café!
- New Island Interactions – When you enter your game after installing Neat Things, explore the island and discover new activities such as playing in leaf piles, blowing dandelion seeds, and more.
Calico: Neat Things is available now for PC and Nintendo Switch for $4.99.
If you wish to get Calico, it’s available for $11.99 on PC (Steam, Epic Games, Humble Bundle Store, itch.io, Game Jolt), Xbox One | Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 | 5, and Nintendo Switch. You can also read our review of Calico at KeenGamer.
You can also get the Calico: Complete Bundle, which includes Calico and the new DLC Neat Things on Steam.
