NetEase Games and Everstone Studio are bringing Where Winds Meet to mobile worldwide on December 12, launching on both iOS and Android with full cross-play and shared progression with the existing PS5 and PC versions.
The mobile release follows the global launch on PlayStation 5 and PC back on November 14, 2025, and arrives nearly a year after the game first hit PC and mobile in China in late 2024 and early 2025. Players who already started their journey on console or PC will be able to carry their characters, unlocks, and progress straight over to phones and tablets.
What Where Winds Meet Brings To Mobile
Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play open-world action RPG set during China’s Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, mixing martial arts fantasy with political intrigue and large-scale warfare. You play a wandering sword master choosing between heroic deeds, chaos, or something in between, with your choices shaping reputation, bounties, and how NPCs react to you.
The world covers 20+ regions filled with cities, ruined forts, tombs, and quiet villages, all tied together by classic wuxia movement: parkour, wall-running, and lightness skills that let you glide across rooftops or valleys. Combat leans on weapon stances and mystic arts, with swords, spears, dual blades, umbrellas, and fans all supported by internal cultivation systems.
On mobile, the game keeps the duplicate core content: 150+ hours of solo story, optional four-player co-op, guild systems, large-scale PvE and PvP, and profession paths like Healer and Scholar. Controls have been adapted for touchscreen layouts, while still supporting the same cross-platform environment as PS5 and PC.
How The Mobile Launch Will Roll Out
The iOS and Android versions will be available via the App Store and Google Play on December 12, using the same server ecosystem as other platforms so that players can group across devices. NetEase has confirmed an initial rollout across North America and Europe, with additional regions planned for 2026.
Because of shared progression, any purchases, unlocked cosmetics, and martial arts builds you already own on console or PC will carry over once you link accounts. For newcomers, starting on mobile gives immediate access to the full launch version of the game instead of a cut-down port.
With the mobile launch, Where Winds Meet effectively becomes a whole cross-platform wuxia MMO-style experience: you can clear story chapters on PS5 at home, then jump into outposts, dungeons, or casual exploration on your phone without losing any progress.
