The First Descendant Is Leaving Xbox One and Playstation 4

Nexon Games, the studio responsible for The First Descendant, has announced that support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will end and they will no longer be available this year.

In the Dev Livestream on March 5, the development team presented the new features coming to the free-to-play during episode 2 of its second season, but the announcement that attracted the most attention was the withdrawal of the version of The First Descendant for last-generation consoles.

Nexon Games explained that the decision is due to the growing scale and ambition of the game. As it receives more content, the hardware of PS4 and Xbox One limits its evolution.

The developer mentioned that focusing on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will enhance the graphical and technical experience. It will also optimize loading times, visual effects, and performance stability.

What will happen to PS4 and Xbox One players?

Support for The First Descendant on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will end on June 19, 2025. However, players on these platforms will be able to transfer their progress to the current generation versions.

If you still play on PS4 or Xbox One and want to continue enjoying The First Descendant, you will need to upgrade to a more recent platform before the deadline.
