After the reveal of another Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance trailer, fans have received new footage showcasing the new Nahobino design, the new demons, and the new skills being added to the re-release.
The Nahobino is receiving a new form exclusive to the vengeance content. The Nahobino is no longer rocking the long flowing hair but is closer to the player character’s hairstyle before fusing with Aogami.
The protagonist also no longer produces his energy blade from his fingertips but produces scythes from their forearms. Besides the scythes, the Nahobino’s design became slightly darker, shifting from blues and whites to a darker grey and black with purple shining through the cracks.
Lilith and the Qadistu look fantastic. The new demon designs come from series veteran illustrator Masayuki Doi. During the showcase, Atlus revealed the Qadistu’s combo attack named Qadistu Entropy, seemingly a multi-target hit drain spell.
One of the exciting features leads to more interaction with the demons that make up your party. Demon haunts are where the Nahobino may speak with the demons they’ve gathered as allies. These Demon haunts also have the added effect that guest party members may show up.
Besides Lilith and the Qadistus, multiple demons are returning from past titles in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Azazel returns in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance after his absence in the first release.
