The year 2023 has undoubtedly given players some of the best (and worst) gaming titles in recent years. Mods likewise pushed the boundaries this year as Dbolical’s ModDB.com celebrates the 22nd annual Mod of the Year Awards. With community-based voting phases, players and modders recognize their favorite and most creative video game mods. Honorable mentions were recognized with ModDB’s quarterly ‘Year in Review’ montage as well as their Editor’s Choice and Best Up-and-Coming awards. Alongside many notable entries for 2023, Thief: The Black Parade came out as winner followed very closely by the Entropy: Zero – Uprising mod.
