There has been a lot of rumors surrounding Marvel Rivals including the possible release of a PvE mode. After the rumors spread, fans got hopeful that the mode would be introduced soon. However, NetEase made it clear that Marvel Rivals won’t have PvE mode anytime soon. Speaking with IGN, Marvel Rivals producer Weicong Wu responded the circulating rumors.
“For now we don’t have any kind of a PvE plan, but our development team is continuously experimenting with new game play modes. So if we found that a new specific game mode is entertaining enough, fun enough, we would of course bring it to our audience.”

Fans shouldn’t be too disappointed though. Wu continued and explained that they are open to exploring new game modes including lighter versions. Therefore, fans should keep their eyes open for any future releases.
“We believe there are some of our audience that would like the PvE mode. But also, you can see that if we come up with a hardcore PvE experience, that will be totally a different distinctive experience from what we have right now. So our development team has been continuously experimenting with different approaches to achieve that goal, maybe a lighter mode, in a lighter sense of that, and to see what would work best for our game.”

What’s Next for Marvel Rivals’ PvE Mode
Despite the fact that Marvel Rivals won’t have a PvE mode anytime soon, there is still some hope. From Wu’s words, NetEase are open to the idea of experimenting with different game modes. This leaves the door open to the possibility of PvE or something similar to it being introduced later down the road.
The good thing about Marvel Rivals is the continuous updates. So while fans wait for new additions, they can also anticipate the release of new heroes. The upcoming new heroes will be the Human Torch and The Thing; they will be released on February 21.
