Marvel Rivals being a free-to-play game made players question how battle passes will work. Luckily for the players, it was announced that there will be two kinds of battle passes in Marvel Rivals. There are free battle passes and Luxury battle passes inside the game.
In the Dev Talk, it was announced that Marvel Rivals’ Luxury battle passes won’t expire once purchased. “Once you purchase a Luxury Battle Pass, you can continue to redeem its rewards in subsequent seasons if you don’t finish it during the current season. There’s no need to worry about not having enough time to complete it,” the Dev Talk detailed. This will give players the chance to purchase the game’s battle passes without worrying about them expiring.
What Other Details Are Included in Marvel Rivals’ Battle Passes
The Dev Talk published on Marvel Rivals’ official website included more details about the battle passes. For starters, the Luxury battle passes will cost 490 Lattice which costs around $5. The Lattice is one of Marvel Rivals’ in-game currency with the other being called Unit. Players can obtain Lattice, which is described as the premium currency, through purchasing. According to the Dev Talk, Lattice’s pricing is USD $0.99 for 100 Lattice and USD $99.99 for 11,680 Lattice. These prices are based on Steam’s U.S. region.
The good thing is that the cosmetics in Marvel Rivals won’t affect the gameplay. Therefore, there is no “stat bonuses or pay-to-win elements” as the website describes. If players chose to purchase the Luxury battle pass in Marvel Rivals, then they will have the chance to receive 5 costumes and related cosmetics. On the other hand, the free pass includes one epic-quality costume. In addition to this, players can get free costumes through achievements and events.
