F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, is set to deliver its most authentic and customizable experience yet. Developed by Codemasters, this latest entry introduces a host of enhancements designed to bring players closer to real-world Formula 1 racing.

Major Visual and Track Improvements

F1 25 makes significant strides in graphical fidelity with enhanced lighting, shadows, and weather effects. Five key circuits—Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka, and Imola—have been rebuilt using advanced LiDAR scanning technology. This process enables the tracks and their surroundings, including foliage and grandstands, to match their real-life counterparts with unprecedented accuracy.

On PC, the introduction of Path Tracing technology allows for even more realistic light simulation for those with compatible hardware.

Customization and My Team 2.0

The new decal editor gives players greater creative control over car liveries. Users can move, rotate, and resize sponsor decals, with new fonts and colors for driver numbers. Sponsor liveries now provide base patterns inspired by in-game title sponsors, and building long-term sponsor relationships can unlock additional rewards.

My Team 2.0 offers expanded management features, letting players specialize in preferred areas of team operations and influence their team’s growth and income through sponsor choices.

Gameplay and New Features

  • Reverse track layouts available for Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring, playable in multiple modes and career seasons.
  • Upgraded podium sequences and cinematics with more natural camera work.
  • Expanded multiplayer with the introduction of Invitationals—special cooperative events where friends work toward shared objectives.
  • Updated Driver of the Day system that highlights achievements like Cleanest Driver and Most Overtakes, encouraging respectful competition.

Audio and Broadcast Presentation

F1 25 brings a richer audio experience, including real-world driver radio communications during qualifying and races. The pool of authentic driver voice lines has more than doubled compared to F1 24, and new commentary talent like Naomi Schiff joins the broadcast team. Enhanced facial animations, powered by NVIDIA Audio-to-Face technology, offer more lifelike press interviews and cutscenes throughout career and My Team modes.

Release Date and Availability

F1 25 is set to release on May 27, 2025. Players can expect every driver and team from the current F1 season to be faithfully represented, including updated lineups and new rookies.

With its focus on precise track recreation, deeper customization, and a broadcast-style presentation, F1 25 aims to provide the most definitive Formula 1 game experience to date. The commitment to authenticity and innovation is clear in every aspect of this installment.

F1 25’s advancements in both gameplay and presentation solidify its position as a major evolution in the series, appealing to racing enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
