The highly anticipated Total War Test for Warborne Above Ashes kicks off on April 24, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious MMO PvP events in recent memory. Whether you’re a veteran Driftmaster or just hearing about Warborne for the first time, here’s everything you need to know — including exclusive rewards, faction perks, test access, and why this might be the MMO of the year.
What Is the Total War Test?
- A month-long global PvP test involving all six playable factions.
- Full access to the open-world map, Rift dungeons, Veinhold Extractions, and faction warfare.
- Major balance and gameplay updates based on player feedback from the March test.
This test is open to everyone who requested access on Steam. You can still join now by clicking “Request Access” on the Warborne Steam page.
Exclusive Rewards You Can Earn During the Test
- Level 10 Reward: [Exergy Fire-eater] statue for all Drifters reaching level 10.
- Log In 5 Days: Get the [Interstellar Pioneer IV] avatar.
- Log In 12 Days: Unlock the [Ironshade Exo-Raptor] mount.
- Log In 18 Days: Earn the Driftmark Decoration [BBQ Pit].
- Top 10 PvP players in each faction receive the [Silver Claw] avatar frame.
- Top 5 in Veinhold extractions earn elite customization items.
- Dominion Honors: Earn the [Phantomhorn Exo-Raptor] mount.
- Warband Pre-Assembly Event: Split up to $5,000 cash and reserve names + cosmetics!
All rewards will carry into the official launch version of Warborne.
Six Factions – Which One Will You Choose?
Each faction grants two unique bonuses that affect PvE, PvP, economy, or exploration. Choose wisely — overcrowded factions may become locked early in the test!
- Ashen: +5% siege damage, +2.5% max HP
- Sirius: +5% mob damage, +5% loot token gain
- Shroud: +1.5% skill cooldown speed, +5m night vision
- Emberwild: +5% mount speed, +10% animal gather yield
- Magnates: +10% Starfall sales profit, +5% mob XP gain
- Ironcreed: +10% research speed, +7.5% yield from trees/tech wrecks
Tip: Avoid high-congestion factions for smoother test entry and less competition over resources.
New Features in the April Test
- Fully redesigned Driftmark relocation system (no fuel cost early game, map preview added).
- Overhauled Rift mechanics with PvPvE combat and public exposure events.
- New Warband Logistics & Trading System for player-created economy and convoy escort missions.
- Harvester Hub reward overhaul: No more “last-hit stealing.” Rewards are based on total contribution.
- Dozens of rebalanced skills and items – from stealth nerfs to tank buffs (see PTR patch).
