Patch 1.1.0.17 for Dune: Awakening delivers major changes to Deep Desert PvE/PvP zones, Scout Ornithopter rebalancing, sietch claiming rules, and stability improvements. Here’s everything included in the July 2 update.

Patch Highlights

  • Deep Desert PvE Expansion: The entire southern half is now PvE, including Imperial Testing Stations and caves, while Control Points and Shipwrecks remain PvP.
  • Resource Density Rebalance: Higher resource clusters and largest spice fields now spawn exclusively in the northern PvP zone.
  • Loot Distribution: PvE areas provide individual loot (1 schematic per player); PvP areas drop 2–6 schematics, with Plasteel plates obtainable from crashing ships.
  • Spice Field Adjustments: Medium fields reduced from 8 to 5; small fields increased from 20 to 22.
  • Titanium & Stravidium Nerf: Lower spawn rate and increased respawn time from 30 to 45 minutes in PvE areas; concentrated spawns only in far northern PvP zones.
  • Scout Ornithopter Balance: Rocket Launcher module now reduces top speed by 20% on Scouts and 10% on Assault Ornithopters.
  • Vehicle Exit Fix: Exiting ornithopters mid-air now drops them straight down instead of gliding away.
  • Sietch Claim Freedom: Players can now claim land and place respawn beacons in any sietch within their world without restriction.
  • Player Reporting: New option to report chat messages directly in-game.
  • Stability: Game stability improved; NVIDIA GPU driver check updated.

Bug Fixes

  • Closed several exploit vulnerabilities.
  • Fixed infinite loading screen caused by specific network issues.
  • Resolved client freeze when traveling between Deep Desert servers.
  • Fixed melee attacks being obstructed by corpses.
  • Localized guild faction alignment on Guild Overview tab.
  • Fixed black screen issue when skipping “The Wreck of the Hephaestus” cinematic.
  • Sandbike schematics now mention Imperial Testing Stations as their primary source.
  • Blocked unintended ornithopter flights from cities to Hagga Basin via pilot service.
  • Learned emotes no longer lost when respeccing skill tree.
