Counter-Strike 2 has a thriving community that actively supports CS2 by developing new workshop maps for the game. These custom maps are available for download from the Workshop tab of CS2’s community site. Some CS2 maps have fun novelties that make them very different from standard Counter-Strike 2 maps included with the game. Futsal
Futsal is a CS2 workshop map where you can play fun football (soccer) matches with human Counter-Strike 2 buddies. This map is a mini-game for Counter-Strike 2 that includes an indoor, none-grass footie pitch with a couple of goals to kick (or shoot) a football into. Players can set first to three, six, or nine goal matches with different ball sizes. It also includes variable hats to wear during matches. Bounce
Bounce is a colorful bouncy castle map where teams of two to five players can battle it out. The biggest novelty of this map is its trampolines that propel players into the air. Another novelty is that this map doesn’t include any bomb sites or hostages. Thus, the only way to win rounds is to kill all players on the other team, which makes it more of a Deathmatch-style map. It’s primarily designed to be a warm-up map where players can have some fun.
De_minecraft_landscape
Minecraft fans will love the popular De_minecraft_landscape map, rated 5/5 by more than 1,000 players. This CS2 map’s big novelty is its unique Minecraft-style landscape design. It’s a map that looks exactly like a Minecraft world where you can battle it out in standard five vs five Competitive, Wingman, or Deathmatch game modes.
Although it doesn’t offer new gameplay features, the unique blocky design of this CS2 workshop map enables players to jump to higher levels for elevation advantage. It also includes underground dungeon areas through which players can move. Playing Competitive mode matches on De_minecraft_landscape against bots or humans is a unique Counter-Strike 2 experience.
Duck Hunt – Aim Training
Do you remember Duck Hunt from the 1980s? If not, it was a light gun shooter game released with the NES in which players shot ducks out of the sky to rack up higher scores. Although overshadowed by Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt was a popular Zapper gun game for its time.
The Duck Hunt – Aim Training CS2 workshop map revives that classic NES game for Counter-Strike 2 players to enjoy. This map replaces the Zapper with Counter-Strike 2 guns for players to aim train with by blowing ducks out of the sky. It includes a Challenge points-scoring mode and a customizable Practice mode. These 360-degree Duck Hunt modes faithfully replicate the graphical style of the original NES game.
Only Up
Only Up bears little resemblance to conventional Counter-Strike 2 maps. Nor is one in which you can play typical Counter-Strike 2 matches with guns. Only Up is like a vertical assault course in which players jump across obstacles onto floating platforms to get higher and higher and reach the summit of the map. This map looks quite spectacular and offers a tough and fun challenge.
AWP Lego 2
AWP Lego 2 is a Lego-style map that’s like a giant legal model for players to battle it out in. This map features a unique five vs five sniper gameplay mode that equips all players with AWPs and Desert Eagle pistols. Players can’t buy any different weapons like on standard Counter-Strike 2 maps, and AWP Lego 2 doesn’t have any bomb sites. Thus, this map’s fight to the last-man gameplay mode is very much a sniping paradise.
Dolls
Although Dolls is a map for standard CS2 matches, it’s one of the most novel Counter-Strike 2 maps I’ve discovered. The Dolls map turns terrorists and counter-terrorists into toy soldiers in a child’s bedroom. It’s like a map from Toy Story with huge furniture and objects that give it an amazingly large-scale look and feel.
Dolls also features some gameplay novelties you won’t see on other maps. Players can climb up shoe laces and cables to reach higher areas of the map. It also includes mouse traps that kill players when walked on.
