The CS2 Wingman mode in Counter-Strike 2 is a two vs. two bomb-defusing match played on smaller maps. It is a stripped-down bomb-defusing game mode with half the number of players and one detonation site. Counter-Strike 2 includes smaller Inferno, Overpass, Nuke, Assembly, Mermento, and Vertigo maps for Wingman matches. Palais
Palais is a CS2 Wingman map with a Gallic flair that has a five-star community workshop rating. This is a map set on the rooftops of a museum in Paris with the Eiffel Tower visible in the distance. Players can battle it out on the rooftops or in rooms within the museum. Watch your step when playing on this map as it’s fall of risky areas from which you can fall if you’re not careful. It also features a small collection of easter egg novelties for players to discover.
The Palais map
Waterfront
The Waterfront CS2 Wingman map is a scenic map set in the famous vacation town of Grad na Moru on Croatia’s Adriatic coastline. This map looks quite pretty with green vegetation hanging from the buildings and a beautiful coastal views. It is mostly an outdoor map with a central pond detonation point for bombs. However, the Waterfront map also includes church, bar, and apartment buildings for players to fight.
Drawbridge
Drawbridge is a CS2 Wingman map with a fictional medieval castle setting. The map looks quite stunning, with some great lighting effects and a beautiful garden area. It’s quite a big Wingman map that includes stairs and elevated areas with windows to shoot down from that offer a strategic advantage. This map design is all the more impressive since it was created exclusively with the Hammer editor without any additional 3D graphics software. Lake
Lake is a highly-rated map for Wingman mode that features a lakeside house and surrounding scenery. Players can battle it out within a house that includes the bomb detonation site. It’s even possible for players to climb onto that building’s roof for sniping. There’s also a good amount of open lakeside landscape to fight in, with rocks and trees providing suitable cover positions. It’s a map with a great design that encourages dynamic gameplay for enthralling Wingman matches.
Lake was previously an official map in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. However, Valve removed that map from Counter-Strike 2, disappointing many players who loved Lake’s pulsating Wingman action. One player’s Steam forum post complaining about the exclusion of Lake from CS2’s standard map pool says this:
The only Wingman map ever worth playing was the Lake house map. It was the ONLY map I EVER played on this game tbh lol. PLEASE add it back so me and my one friend can play Wingman together! It was the ultimate Wingman map… Lake is its own map specifically for Wingman, which is why it ROCKS.
Maginot
Maginot is a pretty cool, primarily indoor, map from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ported for CS2 Wingman matches. This map is set within a World War 2 bunker from France’s Maginot Line, which has been occupied by terrorists plotting an attack on Paris. It’s good for grenade-tossing fun since much of the map is based in enclosed indoor areas with a labyrinth of tunnels. Brewery
Brewery is another renowned map for CS2 Wingman matches with a five-star workshop rating. This map is a brewery hijacked by illegal moonshiners. It’s a spacious map for Wingman matches that offers quite a lot of space in which to outmaneuver opponents during rounds. The distillery area that includes the bomb site is a part of the Brewery that offers many possibilities for flank play during rounds. Overall, this is a well-designed map with impressive attention to detail.

There’s a possibility Valve might add some of those maps to Counter-Strike 2’s standard map collection since the game is now getting updated with more community content.
