More and more franchises are making the leap to virtual reality, and now Zombie Army is joining this trend. Zombie Army VR just confirmed its release date: it will arrive on May 22, 2025, offering a new way to face the zombie apocalypse.

In this installment, players will take on the role of a Deadhunter, an elite soldier tasked with eradicating the undead threat. The gameplay will maintain the first-person shooter style, characteristic of the series, and will include the iconic X-ray camera in spectacular executions.

In addition to the date and platforms, the trailer showcases the varied arsenal available in Zombie Army VR. It also reveals a simplified interface that uses a wristwatch to display information such as the character’s health. This mechanic has already become a trend in virtual reality games. Other characteristics that this new installment will boast include:

  • An original and chilling campaign with an immersive story.
  • Authentic World War II weaponry with realistic details.
  • Weapon upgrade and modification systems to improve gear.
  • Multiplayer mode to battle the horde with other players.

Zombie Army VR will be available on PSVR 2, SteamVR, and Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro starting May 22, 2025, and can already be pre-ordered on all these platforms.
