Hades 2 made an appearance during the Nintendo Direct dedicated to Switch 2, reminding us that it will also be released on that platform. Supergiant Games have now confirmed that this version will be part of a temporary exclusivity on Nintendo consoles.
The sequel to one of the most beloved and awarded roguelikes of the last generation will put us in the shoes of Melinoë, the daughter of Hades. In this installment, players will have to explore the underworld to face the very Titan of Time: Cronos. Hades 2 will combine fast-paced action, branching narrative, and roguelike progression with unique art direction and a powerful soundtrack.
Currently, Hades 2 is available in early access for PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. The full release planned for 2025, although Supergiant Games has not confirmed a specific date.

It is expected that it will eventually arrive on all current consoles. However, the developers have confirmed that Hades 2 will first launch on Nintendo Switch 1, Switch 2, and PC simultaneously. This means the initial release will not include the PlayStation and Xbox versions.
For Switch 1 users, it’s great news to know that the game is still on its way to the original console. However, for those who play on Sony or Microsoft consoles, it’s not so encouraging to have to wait longer to enjoy this anticipated sequel.
For now, Supergiant Games have not revealed the exact duration of this timed exclusivity, so it is unknown when Hades 2 will arrive on other platforms outside of the Nintendo and PC ecosystem.
