Amazon continues to bolster the benefits of its Prime Gaming service, the most striking being the free games, and in April, two new titles are added to the list of free games that subscribers can claim: Minecraft Legends and Mafia III: Definitive Edition. Both are now available to be claimed.
Minecraft Legends
Minecraft Legends is a real-time strategy spin-off based in the Mojang universe. In this game, players must join other creatures from the Overworld to combat a Piglin invasion and save the cubic world from a greater threat.
The free version of Minecraft Legends offered by Prime Gaming is available for both Xbox consoles and PC (redeemable on the Microsoft Store). You can redeem either version, or both.

Although Minecraft Legends did not make waves to the same extent as the main title of the series and received mixed reviews—with a score of 71 on Metacritic—it offers a different and very enjoyable experience, especially for those looking for something cooperative.
If you are a Game Pass subscriber, the service’s catalog already includes the game, so redeeming this reward might be less appealing. However, you can still do it to own the game or even gift the key to a friend.
Mafia III: Definitive Edition
On the other hand, Mafia III: Definitive Edition is an open-world game that puts us in the shoes of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam veteran who starts a war against the Italian mafia in the fictional city of New Bordeaux, inspired by New Orleans in the 60s.
Although Mafia III: Definitive Edition also received mixed reviews on Metacritic from users. It’s worth claiming this version, even if you already own the game, as it includes the following downloadable content:

The Mafia III: Definitive Edition code provided by Prime Gaming is for redemption on GOG, so you will need to download GOG Galaxy to install and play it on your PC.
Both games will be available for a limited time, with July 4, 2025 being the deadline to redeem the codes. Remember that only active Prime Gaming subscribers will be able to claim these free games.
