In Where Winds Meet, you can place Signposts just about anywhere in the world. These act as a way to leave a message to other players exploring the same area, allowing you to leave them a tip, make a joke, or even just say hi. This guide will go over how to obtain Signposts and how to use them.
1. How to Get Signposts
There are two primary ways to get Signposts — by buying them from vendors or crafting them yourself. If you’re unsure where to find more, open your Bag and check the item description, and you will see a list of all available sources.
1.1 What Vendors Sell Signposts?
There are three vendors where you can purchase Signposts. While you can find one early on, you can’t find the other two until you go to the Kaifeng continent.
- Xiong Da, Peddler at Heaven’s Pier – Qinghe continent
- Wang’s Woodcraft – Kaifeng continent
- Hu Niu’er’s General Goods – Kaifeng continent
- Signposts will cost 450 Coins each
1.2 How to Craft Signposts
If you have the right materials, you can craft Signposts yourself instead of having to buy them. This is a cheaper and more efficient way to obtain more, if possible.
- Signposts will cost 2 Timber and 1 Raw Ore to create
- You will create 10 Signposts at a time
- They can be crafted anywhere — you don’t have to be at a crafting station
2. How to Use Signposts
Once you have a Signpost, you can place it just about anywhere you would like in the world.
- Open your Bag and select the Signpost, then click on it again to place one
- This will open a menu where you can customize your post
- From here, you are able to write your message, insert an image into it, and customize the appearance it will have once placed
- In Assist Areas, there is an option to allow other players to use the Signpost to activate the Assist feature
- Once you’re ready, confirm to place it in front of where you’re currently standing
3. Interacting with Signposts
Throughout your travels, you will run into Signposts that other players have placed. These can be interacted with in several ways:
- Give the message or any comments left on it a like
- Dislike any comments that you don’t like
- Leave your own comment for others to see about this Signpost
- If there is an action attached to it, you can replay the animation
3.1 Interacting with your Own Signposts
If you interact with Signposts that you have placed, there are a couple of extra options you will have when interacting with them:
- Edit the message on the Signpost
- Delete it entirely
Signposts offer a fun and easy way to interact with players going through their own adventure. People can help each other with these as well, offering helpful advice or warnings for what’s ahead.
