Where Winds Meet Healer Profession Guide – Unlock & Upgrade

Master the Healer profession with this complete guide covering how to unlock healing, find NPCs and players to cure, win the healing minigame, upgrade your rank, learn new Prescriptions, craft powerful Medicine, and become a top-tier support in any encounter.

Where Winds Meet - Healer Profession Guide

Healer is one of the Professions you can learn in Where Winds Meet. It gives you the ability to heal NPCs throughout the world that are sick or injured, and it gives you access to creating your own Medicine. This guide will go over how to unlock and become a Healer, as well as how to cure people and become better at the Profession.

1. How to Unlock Healer

In order to unlock the Healer Profession, you will have to complete the quest Healer’s Calling. This quest acts as a tutorial to the minigame you play when you heal someone.

  1. Find the Quest – Head over to Mercyheart Village, and talk to Mu Ji’an.
  2. Complete Healer’s Calling – Heal the injured man while going through a tutorial for the Healing minigame.
  3. Profession Unlocked – Once you’ve completed the quest, all of the options in the Healer menu will become available.

2. How to Find People to Heal

Once you’ve become a Healer, you will want to find people who need help. Helping them out will increase your Mastery with the Profession, as well as get some rewards.

  1. Toggle On Markers – On the Map, click the POI Filter button, drop down the Exploration options, and turn on Heal the Illness.
  2. Look for NPCs on the Map – Heal the Illness icons look like a black gourd on the map. Each one will be an NPC that has some kind of illness or injury.
  3. Examine Their Illness – Once you make it to the NPC, activate your Wind Sense to find what their Illness is, and press the interact button to begin the Healing.

2.1 Healing Other Players

If other players have an injury or illness, they are able to ask for a Healer to cure them. You can find these requests in the Professions menu, and travel to their world to heal them the same way you would an NPC.

  1. Find Requests in the Menu – In the Healer menu, click on the Provide Healing button, and you will see a list of players who are ill.
  2. Check Healing Mastery – Each player will have a Healing Mastery Required number — the higher the number, the more difficult it will be to heal them.
  3. Travel to Their World – Once you have selected a player to heal, travel to their world in Co-op Mode.
  4. Heal the Player – After you travel to their world, find them, and heal them the same way you heal an NPC with the Healing minigame.

3. How to Heal Someone (Step-by-Step Guide)

Once you have initiated to heal someone, you will be taken to the Healing minigame. This is essentially a card game, where the goal is to reduce the illness’s health to 0 before you lose all of your health.

  1. Start the Healing Minigame – Interact with the NPC or player to begin treatment. You enter the minigame with 5 random Prescription cards and 3 Fieryhearts (your main resource).
  2. Check Your Cards & Resources – Each card costs 0–3 Fieryhearts, and Fieryhearts fully regenerate every turn, so you should plan to spend them efficiently every round.
  3. Buff Before Attacking – Most buff Prescriptions cost 0–1 Fieryheart. Use them first to boost your attack or defense before committing damage.
  4. Play 1–3 Cards Each Turn – Choose your sequence for each round:
    • Buff first
    • Attack the illness
    • Use shields only when a strong attack is coming
  5. Read the Illness’s Forecast – The preview shows if the enemy’s next attack is weak, strong, or unavoidable, helping you decide whether to defend or push damage.
  6. Manage Health Bars – You win by reducing the illness’s HP to 0 before your own is depleted. Most Prescriptions deal direct damage based on their type (Physiotherapy or Qi Therapy).
  7. Beat the 10-Round Limit – The fight must end before round 10, so use high-impact cards when available. The time limit is long and rarely matters; the round limit is what can end the run.
  8. Finish the Treatment – If you drop the illness’s HP to zero, the healing succeeds. If you have high enough Healing Mastery, you may select Quick Treatment to instantly heal and skip the minigame.

3.1 Tips for Faster, More Reliable Healing

There are a few things to keep in mind to help make you a more effective Healer.

  • Buff Yourself Before Attacking – Most buff Prescriptions cost 0 or 1 Fieryheart, so use them to get the most out of your attacks.
  • Save Shields for Powerful Attacks – Hold on to your shield Prescriptions for these attacks to mitigate them better.
  • Use Your Fieryhearts – Fieryhearts fully regenerate each turn and don’t overflow, so there’s no reason to hold onto them instead of attacking.
  • Pay Attention to the Rounds – Use powerful attacks when possible to avoid reaching 10 rounds and running out of time.
  • Customize Your Deck – If you’re having issues Healing illnesses, customize your Prescription deck to give you a better chance.

5. How to Learn and Upgrade Prescriptions

  • Requirements – To craft higher-tiered Medicine, you will need to reach a certain level, as well as a specific Rank.
  • Materials Needed – Every Medicine requires 1 or 2 Herbs to craft and 1 of another material, depending on which one you’re crafting.
  • Stamina Cost – Crafting costs Stamina each time, limiting how many you can make in a day.

Healer is a profession that can give you a good amount of extra materials and give you access to create your own Medicine for battles.
