Where Winds Meet – All Weapons Location & How To Unlock Them

Unlocking a martial-arts weapon requires two steps: learning the martial-arts style and obtaining its matching weapon item. There are 12 total martial arts weapons in Where Winds Meet. After learning a style, find the weapon item tied to it through loot drops or mission rewards. At early levels, you get to unlock one free weapon of your choice, and it can be any weapon, so choose it wisely.

1. Nameless Sword

Nameless Sword Where Winds Meet

Nameless Sword is the default in Where Winds Meet, and it’s a DPS weapon. However, even being unlocked at the start, it’s one of the best for dealing with single targets. Use it to deal several hits to enemies and eventually deal critical hits. It is great for mobility-focused players. 

How to Get Nameless Sword

• It is automatically equipped at character creation.

• Ready to use immediately with no unlock steps.

Core Abilities

• Gap closer: A fast movement skill that lets you quickly engage enemies and transition into an AoE combo, hitting multiple targets simultaneously.
• Shadow step: A backward teleport that instantly repositions you, helping dodge attacks, create distance, or set up counterattacks.
• Bellstrike Splendor focus: Nameless Sword emphasizes fluid movement and charged attacks, allowing for high burst damage while maintaining mobility and combo flow.

Charged Heavy Attack

• Early unlock: The Heavy Attack talent can be unlocked early in the Talent Skill Tree, giving immediate access to ranged damage options.
• Ranged projectile: Fires a projectile that allows you to safely damage enemies outside melee range, providing versatility in positioning.
• Charge power: The attack’s damage increases the longer you charge, making it ideal for opening fights or punishing enemies recovering from their own heavy attacks.

• Pair with a burst DPS weapon to quickly capitalize on openings created by its parries.
• Use the enhanced parry window to counter heavy attacks and keep bosses staggered.

2. Nameless Spear

The Nameless Spear is the second unlocked weapon you can equip in your combo slot, offering reliable crowd control, strong target lockdown, and easy follow-up damage. It excels at keeping enemies disabled while you chain abilities from your main weapon.

How to Get Nameless Spear

• Unlocked automatically when you start the game, equip it by going into the Weapon inventory.
• Available immediately with no extra requirements, making it one of the earliest tools for controlling enemies.

Core Abilities

• Immobilize enemies: Applies immobilization, stopping enemies from moving or fighting back, giving you control over the battlefield.
• Quick stab attack: Features a fast, simple stab ideal for rapid damage chains immediately after disabling a target.
• Endurance recovery: Provides Endurance recovery, supporting DPS and synergizing with the Bellstrike Splendor Martial Art Path for sustained combat.
• AoE and mobility: Delivers good AoE damage thanks to its range and allows free movement while attacking multiple targets.

Charged Heavy Attack

• Rapid thrust series: Use Charged Heavy Attack to perform a quick series of high-damage thrusts, hitting enemies multiple times in rapid succession.
• Follow-up after immobilize: Most effective when used immediately after immobilizing a target, ensuring every hit connects for maximum damage.
• Close-range DPS: Ideal for bursting tougher enemies early and maintaining pressure in close-range combat, making it a core part of Nameless Spear rotations.

• Pair with a crowd control weapon to handle groups while you maintain long-range pressure.
• Use the extended reach to interrupt enemies mid-animation before they close the gap.
• Prioritize positioning—circle around enemies to poke safely without trading hits.

3. Stormbreaker Spear

The Stormbreaker Spear is an early-game defensive Martial Arts weapon built for tanking, crowd control, and damage mitigation, making it ideal for players who want to anchor fights or support teammates in group encounters. It is useful for absorbing upcoming damage as it provides you with several shields and damage reduction, which helps with survival. 

How to Get Stormbreaker Spear

1. Received through in-game mail around Level 3–5.
2. You will get it after completing the first quest and visiting General Wang.
3. Press ESC and click on the Letter button on the top-right and claim the Invitation to Fireworks Festival.
4. This will give you the Stormbreaker Spear as a free welcome reward.

Core Abilities

• Taunt enemies: Taunts nearby enemies, forcing them to target you and giving your team a window to counterattack or backstab.
• Damage reduction: Grants damage reduction, allowing you to absorb hits safely and maintain frontline presence.
• ThunderShock burst: ThunderShock deals extra burst damage to finish weakened targets or maintain threat on the battlefield.
• Charge AoE: Use the charge ability to deliver massive AoE damage when enemies group up, controlling crowds and punishing pushes.

Tips

• Pair with a weapon that can finish airborne enemies, since this spear launches them frequently.
• Use pushback and knock-ups to control space during chaotic fights.
• Prioritize using the windshield when facing ranged enemies or multi-directional projectiles.

• Time your tornado for groups of regular enemies to instantly disrupt and isolate targets.

Playstyle

Stormbreaker Spear has a tank role and uses Stonesplit Might Martial arts path, which works very well in co-op and PvP scenarios. It is also great for handling multiple enemies at once. However, it may suffer in handling due to slower attacks and low mobility. 

4. Panacea Fan

Panacea Fan Sanctum

The Panacea Fan is a support-focused Martial Arts weapon in Where Winds Meet. It is one of only two weapons in the game capable of healing allies—the other being the Soulshade Umbrella. It is designed entirely around sustain, offering AoE healing, targeted recovery, and even the ability to revive teammates, making it one of the strongest tools for multiplayer support.

Its downside is very low damage, as it is intended strictly for players who want to stay back during combat and maintain team survivability.

How to Get Panacea Fan

1. Open Develop Martial Arts in the menu.
2. Select the Panacea Fan and use Locate to reveal its precise position.
3. Travel to the marked location east of the Verdant Wilds.

4. Enter the area and obtain the weapon through Skill Theft, following the usual stealth-based process.

Core Abilities

• AoE healing zone: Creates an AoE healing zone that restores a large amount of HP while you remain inside, providing strong sustained recovery.
• Additional healing effect: Offers extra healing, giving sustain even after leaving the main healing area for continued survivability.
• Solo and co-op utility: Effective for solo play and co-op, as teammates within the zone also benefit from your AoE healing.

Why Get Panacea Fan Early

• Allows you to run a main DPS and swap to the fan only when healing is needed.
• Provides consistent survivability for long boss fights, overworld elites, and multi-enemy encounters.
• Helps new players progress smoothly by reducing potion usage and downtime.

5. Infernal Twinblades

Infernal Twinblades Sanctum

The Infernal Twinblades are a high DPS Martial Arts weapon that excel at single-target burst damage and critical hits, making them especially strong against bosses and elite enemies. Their fast, spinning attacks apply constant pressure, while multiple rotation-based skills can stagger or briefly stun targets, giving you strong control during duels.

How to Get Infernal Twinblades

1. Found in a cave southwest of Verdant Wilds, use the Dragon key to get inside and claim the twinblades.
2. Unlock the Infernal Twinblades martial art by joining the Midnight Sect and completing their requirements.

3. It can also be earned from Qi Sheng as a reward after reporting your first Oddity.

Core Abilities

• High single-target DPS: Deals strong single-target damage, making it ideal for boss fights and priority targets.
• Spinning attacks: Uses spinning and rotating attacks that apply rapid hits and can stagger enemies, controlling the battlefield.
• Karmic Flame generation: Naturally builds Karmic Flame through basic attacks and abilities, enabling powerful state activations.

Karmic Flame Mechanic

1. Hold heavy attack to activate Karmic Flame when the bar is full.
2. Enters a red Flamelash state with:
   • Crowd-control immunity
   • Stronger light attack combo
   • HP drain on hits
   • Increased critical hit chance and damage

3. Rebuild the red bar when it ends and repeat.

Tips

• Pair with a stagger-heavy weapon for bosses to maximize Karmic Flame uptime.
• Use spinning attacks on clustered enemies to build stacks quickly.
• Prioritize aggressive play—the kit rewards continuous pressure.

• Use your high hit-count abilities to trigger status effects faster.

6. Strategic Sword

Strategic Sword Sanctum

The Strategic Sword is a bleed-oriented DPS Martial Arts weapon that specializes in damage over time, stack management, and bursty finishers. It excels at wearing enemies down while setting up high-impact strikes once bleed stacks are fully built. It uses Bellstrike Splendor, which works well when running a Sword and a Spear build to deal high damage to enemies. 

How to Get Strategic Sword

1. Go to the map location shown in the menu; it is near Moonveil Mountain.
2. Speak to a nearby NPC.
3. Spy on a character performing the Feel of Stillness ability to unlock the Strategic Sword mystic art, enabling invisibility outside stealth puzzles.
4. Report back to the NPC, then check the Strategic Sword in the menu for a new location.
5. Complete a stealth puzzle inside a key-required cave to acquire the weapon.

6. Located south of the Dual Swords Dojo.

Core Abilities

• Bleed stack application: Inner Track Slash or Charged Heavy Attack applies bleed stacks to enemies, building up for burst damage opportunities.
• Charged Heavy Attack: Charge at an enemy, leaving slash trails that deal damage and build bleed stacks for combo setups.
• Inner Balance Strike: Triggered when a target reaches 5 bleed stacks, dealing a burst of extra damage and removing all stacks for maximum impact.

Tips

• Pair with a bleed weapon to finish enemies after applying bleed stacks.
• Open with Inner Track Slash or heavy attack to apply stacks fast.
• Prioritize building 5 bleed stacks, then trigger Inner Balance Strike for burst damage.

• Use hit-and-run movement to stay safe while stacks build.

7. Inkwell Fan

Inkwell Fan Sanctum

The Inkwell Fan is a ranged DPS Martial Arts weapon that excels at crowd control, maintaining distance, and consistently applying pressure on multiple enemies. Its abilities make it ideal for players who prefer being airborne, using ranged attacks, and area denial while dealing damage safely. It uses Silkbind Jade, which is a great martial art path for ranged DPS and aerial damage with burst combos. 

How to Get Inkwell Fan

1. Travel to the upper region of Qinghe.
2. Grab the map from the fireplace icon to locate the fan.
3. Use a key and complete the stealth puzzle to earn it.
4. Access the Inkwell Fan Sanctum in northern Qinghe using a Dragon Key. You can get a Dragon Key by reaching Character Level 15 in Solo Mode
5. Inside the Sanctum:
   • Stealthily eliminate guards using Touch of Death Mystic Art.
   • Loot multiple chests along the way.
   • Reach the Master of the Sanctum and perform a Skill Theft to acquire the Inkwell Fan.

Core Abilities

• Push enemies: Push enemies back to control space and create openings during combat.
• Windshield: Generates a Windshield that blocks projectiles and forces enemies to reposition, providing crowd control.
• Charged Light Attack: Releases a tornado that lifts regular enemies into the air, disrupting enemy formations.
• Peak’s Springless Silence: Charge into fights, launching enemies upward for additional control and combo setups.

Tips

• Keep a distance from enemies to maximize ranged attacks.
• Use Windshield strategically to control projectile-heavy areas.

• Combine tornado and Peak’s Springless Silence for crowd control in group fights.

8. Heavenquaker Spear

Heavenquaker Spear Location

The Heavenquaker Spear is a DPS Martial Arts weapon in Where Winds Meet and the second Martial Art option when pairing a Sword and Spear. Unlike pure DPS, it focuses on bleed damage to gradually drain enemy HP, while also offering AoE damage to control groups of enemies.

It uses the Bellstrike Umbra Martial Arts path, which is faster for DPS with damage multipliers and gives great mobility. 

How to Get Heavequaker Spear

1. Open Develop Martial Arts to locate the spear.
2. Go to the location near the Sundara Land area. 
3. Use a long key to enter the stealth puzzle and claim it.

Other Ways to Get Heavequaker Spear

1. Unlock the Heavenquaker Spear Martial Art by joining the Raging Tides Sect and completing their requirements.

2. Perform Skill Theft from the Raging Tides Sanctum in eastern Qinghe to acquire it.

Core Abilities

• Sober Sorrow: Hits multiple enemies to build the combo meter.
• Combo Buffs: When the combo meter is above 10, all buffs activate, strengthening the Sweep All skill.

• Charged Heavy Attack: A thrusting move that delivers high-impact damage.

Tips

• Use Sober Sorrow on groups to quickly build combo meter.
• Activate buffs to maximize the Sweep All skill for AoE damage.

• Combine charged heavy attacks with buffs for high-damage bursts.

Unlock Second Region Kaifeng

For the final set of weapons, you have to continue the main story until you reach the second region of the game, Kaifeng. You no longer need dragon keys here, but some weapons are locked behind a pretty long and sometimes confusing quest.

9. Thundercry Blade

Thundercry Blade Location

Thundercry Blade in Where Winds Meet gives you a shield based on your max HP and grants fighting spirit. You can use that to perform a strong, charged heavy attack. When the weapon glows red, unleash it, do the full combo, and you will also knock enemies down.

How to Get Thundercry Blade

• Early in the game, after submitting your first Oddity, choose Thundercry Blade from Qi Sheng as one of your starting martial arts.
• If not chosen early, perform Skill Theft from the master in the Well of Heaven Martial Camp in Kaifeng.

• Alternatively, join the Well of Heaven Sect, which is associated with the Thundercry Blade.

Core Abilities

• Charged Heavy Attack: When it glows red, unleash a full combo that knocks enemies down.

• Sunrush Gale: Pulls enemies in, deals damage, and speeds up your next charged heavy attack by 50%.

Tips

• Use Fighting Spirit to maximize charged heavy attack damage.
• Combine Sunrush Gale with combos for crowd control and faster burst attacks.

• Maintain your shield to sustain through fights while building up full combos.

10. Soulshade Umbrella

Soulshade Umbrella Location

The Soulshade Umbrella is a healing-focused Martial Arts weapon that also grants a damage buff, making it ideal for solo play or co-op support. It allows players to stay sustained while dealing damage, making it one of the most versatile support weapons in the game. It utilizes Silkbind Deluge, which is beneficial for team revival, enabling them to rejoin the fight after being downed. 

How to Get Soulshade Umbrella

Skill Theft

1. Go to the Soulshade Umbrella Post Station in Kaifeng.
2. Steal the skill from the Master.
3. Use Touch of Death Mystic Art for a stealthy approach.

Hollow Vale Sect

Join the Hollow Vale Sect and fulfill their requirements to unlock the Soulshade Umbrella Martial Art.

Core Abilities

• Damage Buff + Heal: Increases damage while healing you over time.
• Umbrella Ability: Provides healing over time for an extended duration and can heal nearby allies in co-op when their HP is low.

• Perfect for pairing with a DPS weapon to deal damage while staying sustained.

Tips

• Pair with a DPS weapon to maintain constant healing while dealing damage.
• Use the umbrella ability strategically in co-op to support low-HP allies.

• Prioritize stealth when performing Skill Theft to avoid alerting enemies.

11. Vernal Umbrella

The Vernal Umbrella is a great range DPS weapon. The charged light attack lets you hover midair and fire projectiles that interrupt and heavily damage enemies. It also features a charged heavy attack that propels you into the air and lands with a sweeping strike.

How to Get Vernal Umbrella

Skill Theft

1. Speak with Wang Ping’an at the foot of the Time Tower.
2. Climb up and talk to Jiang Ting’er, who requests a keepsake.
3. Collect 5 clues to locate the keepsake and give it to her.
4. Enter the tower and perform Skill Theft on the master to learn the Vernal Umbrella.

Qi Sheng Option

Choose the Vernal Umbrella early after submitting your first Oddity.

Core Abilities

• Charged Light Attack: Hover midair and fire projectiles that interrupt and deal heavy damage.
• Charged Heavy Attack: Fly around and land with a sweeping strike to hit multiple enemies.

• Spring Sorrow: Immobilizes smaller enemies, hits multiple targets, and allows you to throw the umbrella into the air.

12. Mortal Robe Dart

Veil of Love Side Quest

The Mortal Robe Dart is a hybrid Martial Arts weapon in Where Winds Meet, combining ranged and melee attacks to give players maximum combat versatility. Its sweeping whip-like strikes allow you to control crowds, chain follow-up combos, and maintain fluid movement in dynamic encounters.

It uses the Bamboocut Wind martial art path, which is great for fast attack weapons and allows good range.

How to Get Mortal Robe Dart

Skill Theft Quest

1. Infiltrate the Nine Mortal Ways Martial Hall in Kaifeng.
2. Learn a Disguise technique to enter.
3. Speak to Wuyan and complete her quest(Veil of Love): draw a disciple portrait, deliver it, then use the disguise.
4. Retrieve a token from a core disciple using Wind Sense.
5. Speak with Elder Tian and perform Skill Theft inside the hall to learn the Mortal Robe Dart.
6. Complete the questline by speaking to Ni Laoshan at the back of the Martial Hall.

Alternative

Join the Nine Mortal Ways Sect to unlock the weapon directly.

Core Abilities

• Blade Bound Threat: Pull an enemy towards you, slam them down, and follow up with a kick combo.
• Mark Effect: Marked enemies increase your rat damage by 50%.
• Secondary Ability: Drop controlled enemies to attack your current target, massively increasing damage output.
