Warborne: Above Ashes – Seasons Guide

This guide will go over everything about Seasons in Warborne: Above Ashes. You will learn how to participate and make progress in the season, what the rewards are for participating, and how to obtain as many rewards as possible each Season.

Warborne: Above Ashes - Seasons Guide

Like many live service games, Warborne: Above Ashes features Seasons. There are specific missions involved with Seasons, allowing you to earn a bunch of rewards when they end. However, it could be confusing to know what to do or how much progress you’ve made. In this guide, I will go over what is involved in a Season, how to earn rewards, and where to find what your potential rewards are.

1. How Long are Seasons?

The game does not directly tell you how long a Season will last. However, you can keep track of the progress during it, as it progresses in phases, and it should last for 30 days.. You can see the length of each phase, and add them up to figure out how long the Season will last.

What are Season Phases?

Phases have several purposes. These serve to encourage your Warband to make progress in conquering the Roguelands. Not only can they help you keep track of how long is left in a season, but they will also have missions for you to complete and unlock new features of the game.

  • Every phase has at least one stage in it — for example, 1.1 or 2.3
  • Within each stage, there are two missions you can complete
  • These missions will usually involve a personal quest and a quest involving your Warband
  • These quests only last until the next stage starts
  • The length of the stages varies, but they usually last at least 2 days
  • Additionally, some stages will unlock global features in the game once they’re completed

2. How to Progress in a Season

There are several different ways to make progress throughout a Season. This includes solo missions and contributing to your Warband. You can choose to progress in either one of these or progress in both to get all the rewards.

1. How to Complete Season Milestones

Milestones are a set of quests that you can tackle at any point during the season.

  • Unlike the quests in Phase stages, Milestones last the entire season
  • Most of these quests involve working with your Faction and Warband, but there are some gathering quests you can do alone
  • Each Milestone will give you some Eclipsium, and many will additionally give you an Emote to use

2. How to Contribute to Your Faction and Warband

Working with your faction and Warband is a huge part of a Season. Your progress when them is split into two sections, Mid-Season and End-of-Season.

1. Mid-Season-Settlement

Mid-Season-Settlement is a set of rewards you can earn around the halfway point of the Season.

  • These rewards are given to you when the Season is roughly halfway through
  • Your rewards here are based on what your Faction Contribution Rank is after a specific Phase stage ends
  • You can raise your Rank by completing Faction Quests, defeating enemy players, and destroying structures from other factions
  • In order to earn any of these rewards, your Driftmark has to be at least level 8

2. End-of-Season Settlement

End-of-Season Settlement is a set of rewards that you can earn once the current Season ends.

  • These are rewards given to you at the start of the next Season
  • The rewards here depend on how well your Warband’s Rank from Conquest Rating
  • Conquest Rating can be raised by your Warband conquering Hubs and Strongholds
  • In order to earn any of these rewards, your Driftmark has to be at least level 10, and you need to have earned at least 2000 Warband Medals

3. Legion Rank Season Settlement

While not directly part of the Season, you can earn some other rewards in the Legion Rank Season Settlement. The rewards you get from this essentially come from how many enemy players you defeat.

3. Can You Change Your Faction?

If your Faction isn’t doing well, it will hinder your chances of getting the most rewards possible at the end of a Season. It is possible to change your Faction to another one if that’s the case, but only for a short period of time during the Season.

  • In order to change Factions, go to the Faction Rewards menu, and the option will be in the Faction Info tab
  • The option to change Factions opens up once the first Phase of a Season is over (after 1.5)
  • You will have until near the end of the second Phase to switch – once stage 2.3 is completed, the option is no longer available
  • Note that you can only change Factions once, so make your choice carefully
  • You must pay 500 eclipsium to change the faction

4. What Are the Season Rewards?

There are plenty of rewards that you can earn once a season ends, depending on how much you and your Warband contributed to your Faction throughout the season. All reward Settlements can give Eclipsion and MOD Cores, but each type of Settlement offers unique extra rewards.

1. What Can You Earn from Mid-Season Settlement?

The Mid-Season Settlement rewards are the most basic of the three, but are still helpful to earn.

  • Mid-Season-Settlement can give you Season Merit
  • This is one of only two ways to earn Season Merit

2. What Can You Earn from End-of-Season Settlement?

These rewards build on the Mid-Season Settlement and give exclusive currency and items

  • End-of-Season Settlement can also give you Season Merit
  • This is one of only two ways to earn Season Merit
  • Additionally, you can earn Warborne Emblems and an Avatar Frame
  • This is the only way to earn Warborne Emblems and an Avatar Frame

3. What Can You Earn from Legion Rank Season Settlement?

The Legion Rank Season Settlement can give great rewards, but some luck will be involved in what you get specifically.

  • Legion Rank Season Settlement can give you Ranked Supply Crates
  • Ranked Supply Crates are a box that will give you a random item from a few choices
  • Some items that you may get from these are Battle Scars, Eclipsium, Decorations, and Mounts

Below is a list of items that you can buy from the Merit Vault, as well as what they will cost.

6. What is Retained in Between Seasons?

Once a new Season starts, many aspects of the game reset. However, there are things that carry over, or partially carry over. These will help veteran players get an edge when a new Season starts.

1. What Carries Over Fully?

The stuff that is fully retained is generally everything that you’ve unlocked throughout the season, as well as some of your currencies.

  • All Driftmaster Titles and Frames
  • All acquired mounts, Driftmarks, emotes, and sprays
  • Every cosmetic that you’ve acquired
  • Any Drifter that you’ve unlocked — this includes their Battle Infusion levels
  • All unlocked equipment — this includes any Hypercharge and Battle Infusion levels, as well as MODs
  • Any unlocked Boost Station recipes
  • All acquired Solarbite, Eclipsium, Data Fragments, Spray Tokens, and Season Merits
  • Several inventory items, including MOD Cores, Battle Scars, and blueprints

2. What is Only Partially Retained?

There are a couple of things that only get partially retained when a new Season starts. These will help you level back up quickly to give you an edge.

  • Drifter and Equipment Mastery levels are reset — however, a portion of them will be converted into Universal EXP
  • Universal EXP that you’ve acquired will be partially carried over
  • Your Legion Ranks will be scaled and carried over

3. What Gets Reset Completely?

There are several things that get reset completely when a new Season starts.

  • Your Driftmaster Level, Driftmark technology, and Drifter-Tier levels
  • Any Starfall Tokens, Exergy, Repair Vouchers, Faction Medals, PvP Medals, Warband Medals, Void Exergy, and Loot Bonus Tokens
  • All equipment and consumables that were in your inventory
  • All Warbands and anything they made are disbanded and removed — any Solarbite leftover from the Warband will be evenly distributed between members
