This guide will go over everything about the currencies in Warbone: Above Ashes. You will learn what all the currencies are, how to obtain each one of them, and where you can spend them all. You will also see some of the items that you can buy with each one.

There are a lot of different currencies in Warborne: Above Ashes. Each once has its own way of being obtained, and you can buy different items for each one. However, with so many different forms of currency, it could be hard to keep track of them all. In this guide, I will go over what every currency is, how you can obtain it, and where you can spend each one.

1. How to Keep Track of All of Your Currency

You can check out how much you have of each currency at any time by looking in your Inventory. When it’s open, click on the Materials button, and it will open up a count of all of your currencies.

2. Starfall Tokens

By far the most common currency, Starfall Tokens can be obtained easily and consistently. It is used to buy standard items and equipment, and it is needed for anything you make or upgrade in your Driftmark.

How to Obtain Starfall Tokens

There are plenty of ways to build up your Starfall Tokens.

  • Passively obtained periodically by mining an Exergy Vein
  • Selling unused equipment and loot at the Trading House
  • Some Special Quests in the Faction Missions will grant Starfall Tokens
  • Almost every time your Warband gains a level, Starfall Tokens will be awarded
  • Can be purchased at the Faction Store and Warband Quartermaster
  • Chests of Tokens can be bought at the Auction House

What are Starfall Tokens Used For?

As Starfall Tokens are plentiful, there are numerous things that you can spend them on.

  • Purchasing items and equipment at the Trading House
  • Upgrading and building structures in your Driftmark
  • Crafting items and equipment in your Driftmark
  • All upgrades and research in your Driftmark costs Starfall Tokens

3. Exergy

Exergy is the second most common currency that you’ll find, next to Starfall Tokens. The methods for how you get them are almost the same, minus a couple of options. Their main use is for building and upgrading structures.

Exergy can be comfortably obtained passively, and while helping your Warband.

  • Passively obtained periodically by mining an Exergy Vein
  • Some Special Quests in the Faction Missions will grant Exergy
  • Can be purchased at the Faction Store

What is Exergy Used For?

The main purpose of Exergy is to build and upgrade structures, particularly in your Driftmark.

  • Upgrading your Driftmark and building new structures in it
  • Crafting items and equipment in your Driftmark
  • All upgrades and research in your Driftmark cost Exergy

4. Eclipsium

Eclipsium is an important currency with one major purpose: unlocking new Drifters. While there are plenty of sources to obtain them, none of them gives you a lot at once.

How to Obtain Eclipsium

Eclipsium can be obtained very frequently, as you will be rewarded with some as you progress your character.

  • Just about every Main and Side quest in the Survival Guide will award Eclipsium
  • Just about every Season Phase Mission and Milestone will award Eclipsium
  • Some can be obtained through Mid-Season and End-of-Season Settlement rewards
  • You can earn some through progressing through your Legion Rank
  • You can occasionally earn some through the Faction Pass — Premium owners will earn more this way
  • Granted as a reward for completing Survival Trials
  • Granted through Power Upgrade rewards
  • You can get some from the Daily Login

What is Eclipsium Used For?

Easily the primary use of Eclipsium is to unlock new Drifters. However, they could also be used to buy some items.

5. Solarbite

Solarbite is the premium currency in Warborne: Above Ashes. While there are some ways to get it for free, you will primarily get more of this by buying some with real money.

How to Obtain Solarbite

As the premium currency, the main way to obtain Solarbite is to purchase it, but there are a few ways to get some for free.

  • Purchasing Solarbite from the in-game store
  • Selling items at the Auction House

One of the main uses for Solarbite is buying high-level items, giving your character a boost.

  • Everything at the Auction House costs Solarbite
  • You can exchange Solarbite for more Eclipsium
  • Solarite can be donated to your Warband

6. Data Fragments

Data Fragments are an important currency for powering up your Drifter. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to obtain them.

How to Obtain Data Fragments

There are plenty of ways to obtain Data Fragments, and most can easily be done while playing solo.

  • Can be obtained by progressing through the Faction Pass — Premium owners will earn more this way
  • Every Survival Trial will award some upon completing it
  • Can be found in Supply Crates
  • Can be purchased at the Exotic Shop, Veinhold Merchant, and the Warband Quartermaster
  • You can get some from the Daily Login

What are Data Fragments Used For?

While there are plenty of ways to obtain Data Fragments, they only have a single use — to unlock equipment.

  • Every node in the Equipment Training menu requires Data Fragments to unlock
  • Unlocking a node will allow you to master the piece of gear and purchase it at the Trading House

7. Universal Equipment XP

The Universal Equipment XP is a unique kind of currency, as it isn’t used to buy any items. Instead, it is used to make your Drifter more powerful.

How to Obtain Universal Equipment XP

You can get Universal Equipment XP by using Equipment Experience Books. There are various ways to obtain these:

  • Obtained from Supply Crates
  • Can occasionally drop from enemies
  • Can be purchased at the Warband Quartermaster and Faction Store

What is Universal Equipment XP Used For?

There is only a single purpose for Universal Equipment XP — they’re used to level up the Mastery of your equipment.

  • You can access your equipment either by going through your Loadout Adjust menu or the Equipment Training menu
  • This can be used on any equipment unlocked in Equipment Training
  • Equipment Mastery cannot be higher than your Drifter’s level
  • This XP can only get your equipment Mastery up to 45

8. Advanced Universal Equipment XP

As the name implies, this is an upgraded version of Universal Equipment XP. It is effectively a replacement once your equipment Mastery reaches level 45.

You can get Advanced Universal Equipment XP by using Advanced Equipment XP Imprints. There are various ways to obtain these:

  • Obtained from Supply Crates at Tier X or higher
  • Can occasionally drop from enemies at level 45 or higher
  • Can be purchased at the Warband Quartermaster and Faction Store

What is Advanced Universal Equipment XP Used For?

There is only a single purpose for Universal Equipment XP — they’re used to level up the Mastery of your equipment.

  • You can access your equipment either by going through your Loadout Adjust menu or the Equipment Training menu
  • This can be used on any equipment unlocked in Equipment Training
  • The piece of equipment must be at Mastery level 45 before you can start leveling it with this

9. Repair Tickets

Repair Tickets are a very simple form of currency. Their sole purpose is to make it easier to maintain your gear.

How to Obtain Repair Tickets

There are a couple of vendors that will sell Repair Tickets.

  • They can be bought at the Faction Store or War Supplies Vendor
  • In the vendors, they’re called Repair Vouchers, but it is the same currency

What are Repair Tickets Used For?

The only purpose of Repair Tickets is to be a replacement currency for repairing equipment.

  • Repair Tickets will replace the Starfall Token cost of all equipment repairs while you have them

10. Faction Medals

Faction Medals are a more specialized currency that can be obtained by helping your Faction out. It can then be used to buy several helpful items.

  • Granted as Faction Weekly Rewards

There is a specific shop where you can spend your Faction Medals to get helpful items.

  • Used to buy anything in the Faction Store

11. PvP Medals

This is a currency that is completely centered around PvP. This is gained by essentially participating in PvP activities, and can be spent to help with more PvP.

How to Obtain PvP Medals

PvP Medals can be obtained by participating in PvP activities.

  • Defeating enemy players
  • Winning Ranked PvP battles and arenas
  • Doing well in large Faction battles

What Are PvP Medals Used For?

PvP Medals are mainly used to buy supplies that will help your Faction in battles.

  • Can be spent on various consumables at the War Supplies vendor
  • While not consumed for this, PvP Contribution is gained whenever you gain PvP Medals
  • This Contribution will give you Weekly Rank and Legion Rank Season Rewards

12. Warband Medals

Warband Medals are a currency directly tied to your Warband. You earn them by doing Warband-based missions, and you spend them in your Warband’s Driftmark

  • Many Warband Quests will award you with Warband Medals
  • They can also be obtained as part of the Weekly Warband Activity Rewards

What are Warband Medals Used For?

The main use for these Medals is to buy various items that help you get stronger.

  • You can purchase various helpful items, such as Scars and Experience Books, at the Warband Quartermaster
  • While not consumed for this, Warband Medals are needed in order to earn End-of-Season Settlement Rewards
  • You will need at least 2000 Medals before the Season ends to earn these rewards

13. Void Exergy

Void Exergy is a more specialized currency; this Exergy revolves around Eclipse Rifts.

How to Obtain Void Exergy

You can only get Void Exergy by going to a specific dungeon. However, you can’t even go into it until partway through a Season.

  • They are dropped by monsters defeated within an Eclipse Rift
  • Eclipse Rifts become available after Phase 2.3 is completed in the Season

What is Void Exergy Used For?

There is a special shop where you can spend your Void Exergy, allowing you to get some helpful items.

  • Everything the Rift Merchant sells is bought with Void Exergy
  • The items in this shop only last for the Season

14. Veinhold Medal

Veinhold Medals are another special currency that you can only obtain in a specific dungeon. However, these Veinhold Extractions are only available during certain time periods.

How to Obtain Veinhold Medals

The only source of Veinhold Medals is from Veinhold Extractions.

  • Defeating enemies and completing missions within Veinhold Extractions will give you Exergy Residue Shards
  • These Residue Shards can be converted to Veinhold Medals after the extraction is completed.
  • Veinhold Extractions are only open for 4 time periods during a Season, with each one lasting 3 days

What are Veinhold Medals Used For?

There is a special shop where you can trade Veinhold Medals for helpful items.

  • You can buy things like Eclipsium, Blueprints, and Data Shards from the Veinhold Merchant
  • The items in this shop only last for the Season
  • While not consumed for this, you will get rewards at the end of each extraction period based on how many you’ve collected

15. Season Merit

Season Merit is a special currency that you can only get twice in a Season. Once you have some, you can spend them in a special shop.

How to Obtain Season Merit

Unlike most currencies, you can’t simply farm Season Merit. They are given as rewards at two points in a Season.

  • You can earn some as Mid-Season Settlement Rewards, depending on how much you’ve contributed to your Faction
  • Note that you can only obtain these if Driftmark is at least level 8 by the end of Phase 2.4 of the Season
  • You can get more as part of the End-of-Season Rewards
  • These can only be earned if your Driftmark is at least level 10 by the end of the Season, and you’ve collected at least 2000 Warband Medals

What is Season Merit Used For?

There is a special shop that you can access in the menus, where you can spend your Season Merit.

  • You can spend Merit in the Merit Vault, located in the Season Rewards menu.
  • You can buy the majority of the items here with Season Merit, but there is a limit to how much is in stock

16. Warborne Emblem

Warborne Emblem is an exclusive currency that can only be obtained once a Season is over. You can use it afterward to purchase an exclusive item.

How to Obtain Warborne Emblems

You can only obtain Warborne Emblems after a Season has ended, and the amount you get will be based on how well you did during the Season.

  • You can get Warborne Emblems when a Season ends and the next one begins
  • The amount you get will depend on how well your Warband did and how much you contributed
  • You can only earn them if your Driftmark is at least level 10 by the end of the Season, and you’ve collected at least 2000 Warband Medals

What are Warborne Emblems Used For?

As of now, there is only a single item that you can purchase with Warborne Emblems.

  • They can be spent in the Merit Vault, located in the Season Rewards Menu

17. Spray Token

Spray Tokens are a special currency that isn’t used for anything major in the game. You can use them to leave your mark in areas, though.

How to Obtain Spray Tokens

There are a couple of shops where you can purchase Spray Tokens.

  • They can be purchased at the Exotic Shop or Veinhold Merchant

What are Spray Tokens Used For?

The only use for Spray Tokens is to use any sprays that you own on any spot in the world.

18. Starlight Stone

Starlight Stones are a special currency that is unknown how to obtain. Once you have some, it is then used to unlock cosmetics.

How to Obtain Starlight Stones

There is currently no way to obtain Starlight Stones.

What are Starlight Stones Used For?

Once Starlight Stones are available, they can be used to purchase various cosmetics.
