7. The Final Puzzle
One of the most mysterious and ambitious challenges in Resident Evil Requiem isn’t part of the main story progression but appears under the game’s Challenges → Final Puzzle menu after you’ve completed large portions of the campaign.
| Step / Component | What You Do/Where | Current Result / Status |
|---|---|---|
| Find Severed Hand | After escaping the Care Center basement near the elevator | You pick up the hand — it becomes a key item in the Final Puzzle. |
| Analyze Severed Hand | Use a Laser Microscope at the Blood Lab or certain office areas | Instead of a crafting recipe, the analyzer displays a cryptic message “Let’s play” with an RNA‑like code (e.g., GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU). |
| Interpret RNA Sequence | Decoding effort using environmental clues (hourglass, blood report, other notes) | Partial mapping to symbols has been proposed (e.g., Sun/Moon/Star mapping from G, U, C), but there’s no official solution yet. |
| Adjusted Puzzle Interaction | After analyzing the hand, some previously solved Sun/Moon/Star puzzles become active again | Community reports entering sequences like: – Sun, Sun, Star – Sun, Moon, Star – Sun, Moon, Sun – Moon, Star, Moon may produce a childlike laugh, but full completion remains unverified. |
| Hourglass Clue | Interact with hourglass hidden item and flip it, revealing “U = 380,000” | Interpreted as a clue linking RNA letters to the Moon (distance from Earth). |
| Other Environmental Clues | Various game locations may contain related hints (e.g., orphanage carpet symbols, doll interactions) | These items can be linked to the overall final puzzle sequence/code. |
| Challenge Completion | Listed in Challenges menu but not fully solved in a reproducible way | No confirmed final reward or complete solution has been verified besides the laugh. |
