Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown | All Lost Warrior Locations (The Lost Warriors Guide)

In this guide, we'll show you the exact locations of all eight of the Lost Warriors in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. If you want to complete the Lost Warriors Side Quest and earn yourself some sweet loot, including a full Soma Tree Petal, you'll need to track down all eight members of Ardashir's legion who have scattered across Mount Qaf. Each Warrior has a unique fighting style and gimmick you must contend with.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown | All Lost Warrior Locations (The Lost Warriors Guide)

The Lost Warriors is one of the main Side Quests in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. In it, Sargon must search the entirety of Mount Qaf for the undying remains of General Ardashir’s legion, an elite force of warriors who went in before the Immortals and who have since succumbed to the curse infecting the region. Of course, finding the Lost Warriors is only the first piece of the puzzle. Upon finding them, you need to defeat them in combat to free their trapped spirits, similar to the Valkyries in God of War (2018).

These battles will really test your reflexes and combat skills, forcing you to battle against the talented and deadly might of Ardashir’s warriors. Manage to find, and defeat, all of the Lost Warriors, though, and you’ll be set up with some great rewards which will help Sargon on his quest to free Mount Qaf.

Here’s where to find all of the Lost Warriors for the Lost Warriors Side Quest in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

How to Start the Lost Warriors Sidequest

The Lost Warriors is one of nine available optional Side Quests in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. You’ll automatically be given it by progressing the story. After travelling to the Hyrcanian Forest entrance in the Lower City, Sargon will find the wounded form of Nojan, one of General Ardashir’s elite warriors who arrived at Mount Qaf before the Immortals. He reveals that he, and Ardashir’s other soldiers, have been trapped here for 30 years, the curse of Mount Qaf driving them mad.

Nojan requests that Sargon find and kill these Lost Warriors of Ardashir, to put them to rest in service of Persia. Sargon agrees, starting the Lost Warriors sidequest. At this point, you’ll also receive Nojan’s Insignia of Persepolis, a key item held by all of the Lost Warriors which gives some information about how they came under Ardashir’s care.

In total, there are 8 Lost Warriors scattered around the map in The Lost Crown. Each Warrior you defeat will gift you with a bunch of Time Crystals and one Xerxes coin which can be used to either trade with the Scrapper or upgrade your Amulets.

All Lost Warrior Locations in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Hyrcanian Forest Lost Warrior

The first Lost Warrior you’ll likely stumble across in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the one hiding out in the Hyrcanian Forest, one of the first areas you gain access to in the game. Because it is so early in the game, you won’t need any additional Time Powers to help you find or defeat this target, just Sargon’s base set of abilities.

To reach this Lost Warrior, make your way into the Hyrcanian Forest via the Lower City and continue until you reach the area on the map marked by a large waterwheel. From there, head downwards and then go left. If you’ve previously completed The Deserter Side Quest this area should seem familiar to you, as it is where you’ll find the body of the lost soldier’s companion: in fact, he’ll be stood there in memorial if you’ve already completed the quest.

Continue left past the soldier and you’ll come to a plant-covered door which you must use a charge attack to break. Behind this door is the first Lost Warrior, Khrosrow, who fights with a large shield and spear. He’ll primarily use thrusting attacking with his spear to take you down, peppering in a few long-range bow shots if you get too far away. Khosrow has the simplest kit of all the Lost Warriors so expect to see some of these techniques appear in other fights.

Defeating Khosrow will award you with his Insignia of Persepolis, which reads as follows:

“Khosrow was always very fond of Bijan, een commissioned Morteza to write a poem about him. Khosrow was first in the recruitment line when he saw that Bojan had joined Ardashir’s men.”

The Depths Lost Warrior

The next Lost Warrior in our sights is the one found in The Depths, the dark and dingy area below the Lower City of Mount Qaf. Technically, there are actually two Lost Warriors – one in the main area and one in the Catacombs, which is still considered The Depths on the map for collection purposes – so we’ll be covering them both sequentially. To find the first one, you’ll need to have followed the main story until Sargon falls into the Depths.

The fastest way to reach this Lost Warrior is to make for the Scrapper’s Hideaway, an area next to the elevator which takes you from the Depths to the Lower and Upper City. Once you’re there, head left from the teleport point until you find the nearby Wak Wak Tree. Above that Tree is an entrance which you can jump to, taking you to another area of the Depths which has previously been sealed off.

This is also where the second Lost Warrior will be. Named Bijan, the character mentioned in Khosrow’s Insignia, this Warrior has a similar moveset to the first with the ability to fight at both close and long range. Compared to his contemporaries, Bijan seems to prioritise ranged combat, preferring to fire multiple shots of his bow or use bombs to close the distance with you.

Defeating Bijan will gift you his Insignia of Persepolis:

“Bijan joined Ardashir’s men to prove himself to his older brother Reza, and show the world how strong he can be.”

The Catacombs Lost Warrior

Following Bijan is the second Lost Warrior in the Depths. This time, your target is located in the Catacombs, a filthy, decrepit area of Mount Qaf which has been festering for quite some time. This area is incredibly dark and hard to navigate. If you want to find this Lost Warrior, you’ll need to ensure that you’ve beaten Azdaha in the Pit of Eternal Sand and have gained the Gravity Wings ability, giving Sargon the ability to double-jump.

The Catacombs is, fortunately, quite small. Beginning at the Catacombs teleport point make your way to the right past the nearby Wak Wak Tree. Continue following this path until you reach the room with a tall room with faces stuck on the wall, which comes after one of the doorways that will try and kill you. Once you’re in that tall room, use your double jump and air dash to get as high as you can, going through the floorboards and following the faces higher into the room.

When you’ve made it to the top, begin making your way down the path to the left. The first time you come down here, the area will be full of powerful enemies which you’ll avoid by traversing over several unstable platforms. For now, ignore the enemies and keep heading left to make it to the next room which looks like a funnel.

It’s in this room that you’ll fight Reza, the brother of Bijan. His fighting style is much like his brother, utilising long-range attacks in an attempt to overwhelm and overpower you. The main difficulty in this fight will be the darkness which Reza can use to duck away and launch a sneaky trick shot if you’re not careful.

Reza’s Insignia reads as follows:

“Reza was a fierce warrior, dedicated to protecting Persia and his little brother Bijan. He intended to serve the people of Persia until his dying breath, and he did…”

Sacred Archives Lost Warrior

For the next Lost Warrior, we must ascend from The Depths to the Sacred Archives, a monument to knowledge which has been corrupted by the imprisoning power of the Jailer. The only requirement for this Lost Warrior is that you must have already defeated the Jailer and claimed the Jailer’s Holy Scholarship Key.

The area you’ll need to reach to find this Warrior is the Jail, a location beneath the main Archives which links back to the Lower City. If you want to reach this location as succinctly as possible, start your journey at the Scholar’s Area teleport point in the Lower City. From there, ascend up the path you first took to make it to the Sacred Archives after defeating the Manticore.

Eventually, after passing a Mad Alchemist, you’ll come to the first instance of the Archive’s main mechanic and must navigate the zipper-like staircases to reach the floor. Here, you’ll find a massive iron door with a large blue eye which will only open if you have the Jailer’s Key. This door will lead you into the Jail and, upon reaching the bottom of the Jail, you need to head right into the room where the Jailer keeps their most dangerous inmates. One of these inmates is Koorosh, another Lost Warrior who is trapped in a cell at the top of this chamber.

Koorosh fights with a massive greatsword, relying on big swings and Unstoppable Attacks to break you down. Additionally, there is also a nest in the room which will continually spit out poisonous insects as well as a Crawler which will only make life more difficult. We recommend trying to stay at range when fighting Koorosh, prioritising your Bow and Chakram.

“Koorosh was a political opponent to the crown, and leader of a group opposing Thomyris. However, she managed to force him into joining Ardashir’s men in order to keep a closer eye on him at all times.”

The Royal Road Lost Warrior

Our fifth Lost Warrior takes us back to where this whole journey began in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. You’ll find him in the Royal Road, the area where Sargon and the Immortals first entered Mount Qaf at the beginning of the game. The gates leading from the Lower City to the Royal Road are locked, forcing you to take a roundabout path to find the Lost Warrior, a path you’ll, once again, need to kill the Jailer to reach.

Start your journey back at the Jail where we found the fourth Lost Warrior. When you reach the bottom of the Jail, turn left instead of right to quickly enter a path which leads back to the Lower City. Reaching the end of this series of corridors will take you back to that area of the Lower City which is blocked off, the one which connects to the Royal Road to the west: do be warned that some flying Griffins will roam this area and they can be very deadly.

Once you make it to this area simply head back towards the Royal Road, which has also become plagued by enemies and the curse of Mount Qaf. Continue going this way until you reach the area where Sargon and the Immortals left their horses, only now the only creature which remains is our next Lost Warrior.

Morteza wields a spear and shield like many of Ardashir’s men but he also employs deadly lightning magic in both his close and long-ranged attacks. If you get hit by this lightning it will slow you down and lock you out of using your Athra Surges for several seconds, making the fight much more difficult.

Morteza’s Insignia reads as follows:

“Morteza had a certain admiration for Menolias. He also loved poetry and had a habit of writing poems in the memory of fallen soldies on the battlefield after every victory.”

Pit of Eternal Sand Lost Warrior

The next location you’ll be heading to to find a Lost Warrior in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the Pit of Eternal Sand. This area houses one of the game’s major bosses, Azdaha, and can only be accessed once you’ve gotten the Dimension Claw and Clairvoyance Time Powers.

You’ll find the sixth Lost Warrior in the eastern part of the Pit so we recommend starting at the Sunken Harbor and entering the area from there. After falling down through the seal, make for the Wak Wak Tree to your right and then go below. Following this path will take you to a large open room filled with enemies but keep following the path east until you pass a skeletal warrior and a lamia. The intended path forward asks you to keep going down but if you jump across and climb up a nearby wall, instead, you’ll come face to face with the next Warrior.

This is Saman, another Lost Warrior who uses the spear and shield. His main gimmick is that he’ll use an Unstoppable ranged attack which cannot be parried, unlike almost every other ranged attack in the game. Additionally, this attack is capable of freezing you, forcing you to mash buttons rapidly to break out and avoid being an easy target.

“Saman always prefered writing and acting, but after Ardashir noticed his skill in a fight, Tomyris asked for Saman to put down his useless pen and pick a weapon to serve Persia.”

Upper City – East Lost Warrior

The penultimate Lost Warrior can be found in the eastern district of the Upper City. The Upper City is split into two parts – the day side on the west and the night side on the east – with the eastern part being the location you visit later in your journey. At this point, you’ll need to have almost all of the available Time Powers to get where you need to go: the only exception is Fabric of Time which, while extremely useful here, can be ignored with skilful parkour.

To reach this Lost Warrior, you’ll need to reach the night side of the Upper City. The main way that you’ll reach this area is by entering via the Lower City. From there, you’ll need to return to the tall room with the chandeliers which you can climb and make it all the way to the top, giving you access to the eastern wing of the area. Keep exploring and, eventually, you’ll find an elevator exactly like the one on the day side of the Upper City which will take you deeper into the east.

Once you ride the elevator down to the night side of the Upper City and claim the Night Temple teleport point, jump down until you can go underneath the nearby Wak Wak Tree. Continue descending in this manner until you reach the floor, where the next Lost Warrior, Masoud, is waiting for you.

Masoud wields a fiery greatsword which can burn you if it hits, dealing damage over time for several seconds. Additionally, Masoud is joined by several annoying enemies, including the surprisingly tanky fire-breathing lions from the Lower City, who will try and overwhelm you.

“Masoud was almost a little brother or even son to Nojan. Masoud always respect Nojan’s genius. When Nojan asked Masoud if he wanted to join the ranks of Ardashir’s men, the young one didn’t hesitate for a second.”

Tower of Silence Lost Warrior

Finally, the last Lost Warrior you can come across in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is located in the Tower of Silence, the final major area of the game. Not only is this one of the biggest areas in The Lost Crown but it is also the one where you’ll need to use all of your Time Powers to navigate it, meaning that you’ll need to have gotten every power, including Fabric of Time, to even enter the Tower.

The only teleport point in the Tower of Silence is the Tomb Entrance, which is a long way after the last Lost Warrior’s location. As such, make your way to the area on the map with an illustration of falling boulders. Once you’re there, keep an eye out for where the icy boulders are falling from as, eventually, you’ll find an opening next to a Gravedigger. This opening in the ceiling will constantly spew boulders but, if you time it right, you can use your Fabric of Time ability to rocket up past the boulders into a new area.

From there, continue following this strange new path to the east, making sure to use all your mobility tools to avoid the dizzying drops. At the end of this long path will be Pirouz, the final Lost Warrior. He fights using a greatsword capable of freezing you, allowing him to get in some cheap, easy hits if he manages to catch you slipping. Try and keep him at range and spam Artha Surges to eventually take him down,

“Pirouz was a political prisoner of Thomyris, but Ardashir saw something in him while Pirouz rotted in his cell, and somehow convinced Thomyris that he could make a great defender of Persia out of him. And he was proven right.”

The Final Lost Warrior, Ardashir

Once the eighth Lost Warrior has been slain, you’ll receive a new collectable called Ardashir’s Mission Orders. This item outlines the directions Ardashir gave his elite guard and where he is currently situated: the Hall of Witnesses in the Lower Citadel. After this, the location will be marked on your map and the Lost Warriors Side Quest will ask you to visit this location.

Reaching the marked location will reveal that the great general Ardashir has himself become corrupted by the Mount Qaf curse, transforming him into something like his soldiers. He talks briefly with Sargon, asking him to finish this before a fight commences.

Ardashir's Mission Orders

Ardashir’s Mission Orders

General Ardashir can be likened heavily to Sigrun the Valkyrie Queen from God of War (2018) because he’s essentially an amalgamation of his Lost Warriors. He uses a long glaive and shield, like many of his men, but he can also utilise several elemental afflictions to slow Sargon down or damage him over time. Additionally, he has a lot of health and a ton of Unstoppable Attacks so be prepared when going up against him.

After defeating Ardashir, you will complete the Lost Warriors Side Quest in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. As a reward, you’ll receive a bunch of Time Crystals, a Xerexes coin and a full Soma Tree Petal, instantly giving you an extra chunk of health. You’ll also get the A Warrior’s End trophy or achievement for defeating the old general.

“Ardashir was loved throughout his leadership as a father. Even soldiers who were forced into their ranks respected and admired him. Loyal to Persia and to his men, he stood as one of the most powerful assets of the Persian army alongside Anahita.”
