This Counter-Strike 2 article tells you how players can perfect their aiming and shooting with CS2 aim training maps. Are you looking for a way to do some serious aim training in Counter-Strike 2? If so, check out the cs2_aim and aim_treeni workshop maps as covered in the guide below.

How to do CS2 Aim Training in Counter-Strike 2

Better aiming and shooting is crucial to obtaining a higher K/D (kill/death) ratio in Counter-Strike 2. Headshot accuracy is especially important since shooting at heads inflicts somewhat more damage. You can aim train by shooting bots in Counter-Strike 2’s practice mode, but that isn’t much different from playing regular matches against real players. The best way to practise aiming and shooting in Counter-Strike 2 is to play on aim training workshop maps. This is how you can do serious CS2 aim training on the cs2_aim and aim_treeni maps.

CS2 Aim Training on the Cs2_aim Map

The cs2_aim map is one in which you can shoot at many moving bot targets. This map enables you to configure bots’ number, speed, and movement for your CS2 aim training. Plus, you can practise with any of the game’s guns.

To get started, select the cs2_aim map and click Go. You will then enter a training map with configuration options along a wall and bots to shoot opposite it. That settings wall includes all the game’s guns you can select by shooting at them. Shoot a gun you want to try out during your CS2 aim training. If you prefer unlimited ammunition, which is better for CS2 aim training, shoot the infinite ammo option.

Move along the wall toward the bot settings. To add more bots, shoot the + for the Bot Count option. Shoot the running, walking, or sprinting buttons to get the bots moving. You can add more bot movement by shooting the bot crouch or bot jump options.

Now turn toward the bots and get shooting! Try killing bots by shooting at their heads more than anything else. You can even set it so that only headshots kill the bots by selecting the headshot-only option. Press Esc and select Exit to menu, when you’ve finished your CS2 aim training.

CS2 Aim Training on the Aim_treeni Map

The aim_treeni CS2 aim training map is a little different because it doesn’t include any bots. Aim_treeni is a workshop map with round targets on a wall to shoot. These smaller targets are better for perfecting faster, more precise aiming and shooting. Select aim_treeni in the Workshop Maps tab and click Go to enter that map.

Select terrorist or counter-terrorist when the map loads, which affects your gun selection. Guns appear on the right wall. Walk up to the guns and press E to pull them off the wall. You can then swap the gun on the floor by pressing E.

You’ll see only one circle on the wall upon entering the map. To increase the number of targets, shoot the All area option and a number for the Targets setting. Shoot numbers for the Size setting to make the targets bigger or smaller. You can set those targets to move by shooting On for the Moving Targets option.

You’ll also notice color configuration options alongside the settings. Shoot the circular options to change the color of the targets. To alter the wall color, shoot the boxes along the left of the settings.

Level 1 CS2 aim training on the aim_treeni map restricts you to shooting at a rectangular wall. However, you can switch to a 360-degree CS2 aim training mode by selecting 2 for the Levels setting. The map settings will then be beneath your feet with the target wall around you.

The aim_treeni and cs2_aim workshop maps give you new ways to practice aiming and shooting in Counter-Strike 2. I recommend the cs2_aim map for headshot CS2 aim training and trying out different weapons. The aim_treeni map is a good one for practising precision shooting of smaller, moving targets. Check out both maps to become a sharper marksman in Counter-Strike 2.
