How to Customize the CS2 Crosshair in Counter-Strike 2

This Counter-Strike 2 guide tells you how players can customize the CS2 crosshair for aiming. Would you prefer to set a completely new style of crosshair in Counter-Strike 2? If you would, check out the guidelines for customizing that crosshair in the article below.

How to Customize the CS2 Crosshair in Counter-Strike 2

The CS2 crosshair is the aiming cross that determines the direction of your shooting. This aim crosshair is, by default, a light green cross that reacts to movement. However, you can change that crosshair’s style, color, and size in many ways. Counter-Strike 2 has settings and tools that enable you to configure the crosshair targeting to suit your preferences. This is how you can customize your crosshair in Counter-Strike 2.

How to Change the CS2 Crosshair via In-Game Settings

The most straightforward way to change your CS2 crosshair is to customize it with Counter-Strike 2’s in-game settings. To access those options, click the Settings menu > Game in Counter-Strike 2. Click Crosshair to scroll directly to those game options.

The Crosshair tab

There, you can access numerous crosshair settings. Crosshair Style is one of the most important configuration settings you can select there. These are the three configuration options for the Crosshair Style setting:

  • Classic: The default crosshair that reacts to your movements.
  • Classic Static: A crosshair that remains static when you move, which many pro players prefer.
  • Legacy: A crosshair that changes size as you fire your gun.

You will also notice a Center Dot CS2 crosshair setting. Selecting that option adds a small dot to the center of your crosshair. You can set a dot-only crosshair by enabling that dot option and reducing the Length setting to 0.

The T Style setting here is also worth noting. Selecting Yes for that setting sets a T-shaped crosshair rather than a cross. It does this by removing the top part from the crosshair.

Numerous bar settings are available for you to customize your CS2 crosshair. Drag the bar settings left or rating to increase or decrease their values. These are the bar settings with which you can configure your crosshair:

  • Length
  • Thickness
  • Gap
  • Outline
  • Red
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Alpha
  • Split Distance
  • Inner Split Alpha
  • Outer Split Alpha
  • Split Size Ratio

The best way to see what those settings do is to drag their bars and look at how they affect the CS2 crosshair preview shown at the top of the options. Click the left and right arrow buttons to change the map background for the crosshair preview. You can easily restore the default configuration by clicking the Reset button.

How to Set a Specific CS2 Crosshair With Codes

You’ll probably notice the Share or Import code option on the CS2 crosshair preview. Clicking that option brings up a box in which you can input codes for specific crosshair configurations. Enter (or copy and paste) a code in that box and click Import to set its crosshair. These are some codes for crosshairs utilized by pro players:
