With a View is a new quest from the Headwinds update in ARC Raiders that takes place on the Stella Montis map. The quest combines two random Exodus loot requirements with a fixed environmental objective inside the Assembly area. Because the objectives are saved individually, the quest does not need to be completed in a single deployment and can be progressed gradually across multiple runs.
1. With a View Quest Objectives
To complete the With a View quest, you must locate a Rotary Encoder, use it inside an Assembly control room to activate a server switch, interact with a nearby computer terminal, then successfully extract from Stella Montis while carrying an Ion Sputter. The final step is delivering the Ion Sputter to Shani to complete the quest.

2. Important Quest Rules and Progression Behavior
With a View follows ARC Raiders’ standard quest persistence rules, meaning progress is saved as objectives are completed rather than requiring all steps in one run. This makes the quest manageable even if you fail or extract early.

3. Get Rotary Encoder
The Rotary Encoder is the first required quest item and serves as the trigger for the Assembly-related objective. It must be obtained through looting on Stella Montis before you can interact with the Assembly server switch.
3.1 How to Get the Rotary Encoder
The Rotary Encoder is obtained through standard Exodus looting. It is not awarded by NPCs, enemies, or quest interactions. You must locate the item during normal exploration of Stella Montis.
Because the item is not guaranteed to appear in a single run, multiple deployments may be required before successfully finding it.
3.2 Where the Rotary Encoder Can Spawn
The Rotary Encoder does not have a fixed spawn location. It can appear in Exodus loot containers across Stella Montis, including interior loot rooms and industrial structures associated with Assembly operations. No specific building, enemy, or container guarantees the item.
3.3 Rotary Encoder Extraction Rules
The Rotary Encoder is not saved simply by picking it up. If you die before using it on the Assembly server switch, the item is lost and must be found again.
Once the Rotary Encoder is successfully used on the server switch, it is consumed and no longer needs to be extracted.

4. Assembly Control Rooms on Stella Montis
Assembly control rooms are the locations where the Rotary Encoder is used to progress the quest. These rooms are found within the Assembly area of Stella Montis and contain the required interaction objects.
4.1 Where to Find Assembly Control Rooms
Assembly control rooms are located inside enclosed structures within the Assembly zone. Multiple control rooms exist across the area, but not all interior spaces qualify for the quest objective.
4.2 How to Identify a Valid Assembly Control Room
A valid Assembly control room contains both a wall-mounted server switch and a nearby computer terminal within the same enclosed space. Rooms missing either of these objects cannot be used to progress the quest.

5. Assembly Server Activation
The Assembly server activation is a fixed environmental objective that permanently advances the quest. This step does not involve RNG once a valid control room is found.
5.1 How to Activate the Server Switch in the Assembly Control Room
Inside the Assembly control room, locate the yellow server switch mounted on the wall. This switch is the primary interaction point for the Rotary Encoder objective.
Interact with the server switch while carrying the Rotary Encoder. Upon activation, the Rotary Encoder is consumed and removed from your inventory, permanently completing this step of the quest. This interaction must be completed successfully for the quest to progress.
5.2 Using the Computer Terminal
After activating the server switch, remain inside the control room and interact with the computer terminal located opposite the server switch.
The terminal interaction finalizes the Assembly-related objective and updates the quest state. Once this step is completed, you do not need to return to the Assembly control room again for this quest.
6. Ion Sputter
The Ion Sputter is the final quest item required to complete With a View. Unlike the Assembly objective, this step is entirely dependent on successful extraction.
6.1 How to Get the Ion Sputter
The Ion Sputter is obtained through standard Exodus looting on Stella Montis. It is not tied to a specific enemy, container, or quest interaction. The item may be found either before or after completing the Assembly server objective.
6.2 Where the Ion Sputter Can Spawn
The Ion Sputter does not have a guaranteed spawn location. It can appear in Exodus loot containers across Stella Montis, including industrial zones and interior loot areas.
6.3 Ion Sputter Extraction Rules
Simply picking up the item does not complete the objective. The Ion Sputter must be successfully extracted to count toward quest progression. If you die before extraction, the item is lost and must be obtained again.

7. Quest Turn-In and Completion
Once all objectives are completed and the Ion Sputter has been successfully extracted, the quest can be finalized through an NPC turn-in.
7.1 Where to Deliver the Ion Sputter
The Ion Sputter must be delivered to Shani, who serves as the quest’s turn-in NPC. Delivering the item to Shani immediately completes the With a View quest.
7.2 With a View Quest Rewards
After completing the quest, you will be rewarded with:
