Off the Radar is an early progression quest in ARC Raiders that introduces you to Field Depots. While the objective sounds straightforward, you may struggle because Field Depots are not always visible on the map and their function is not clearly explained.
This guide walks you through every step of the quest, explaining how to find a Field Depot, repair the antenna, and complete the quest safely.
1. Off the Radar Quest Objectives
To complete the Off the Radar quest, you must locate a Field Depot during a raid, climb onto the roof of the structure, and repair the antenna mounted on top. Once the antenna repair is completed, the quest objective is fulfilled.
2. Important Quest Rules and Progression Behavior
Off the Radar follows standard ARC Raiders quest behavior. Progress is tied to completing the antenna repair interaction rather than surviving a specific combat encounter or delivering an item.
- The quest must be completed in a single deployment.
- Only one Field Depot is required to complete the quest.
- Any Field Depot can be used; there is no fixed location requirement.
- The quest objective completes immediately after repairing the antenna.
- No quest items need to be extracted or delivered.
3. Locate a Field Depot
The primary challenge of Off the Radar is finding a Field Depot. These structures are present on multiple maps but are not always visible on the map from long distances.
Identify Field Depot Map Icons
Field Depots use a unique building icon on the map, but this icon typically only appears when you are already close to the structure. To locate a depot reliably, move toward known landmark routes and check the map periodically as you travel.
Where to Find Field Depots
Field Depots can appear on multiple maps. Their exact placement can vary, but they are commonly positioned near major landmarks and travel routes.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Found between the Electrical Substation and the Water Towers. This route is one of the most reliable paths for completing Off the Radar early.
- Buried City: Located along the side of the Hospital building. Check the exterior areas around the structure until the depot becomes visible.
- Spaceport: Found in the zone between the Fuel Depot, Car Park, and nearby warehouse areas. This area often sees player traffic, so approach cautiously.
Multiple Field Depots may exist on a single map. You only need to reach one to complete the quest.
4. Identify a Valid Field Depot
A Field Depot has a consistent visual design that allows it to be recognized even before the map icon appears.
What a Field Depot Looks Like
Field Depots resemble rectangular utility trailers or service buildings with a large antenna mounted on the roof. The antenna is visible from a distance and is the key object used for the quest interaction.
Interior Access and Safety Check
Before climbing to the roof, briefly scan the surrounding area for ARC units or other Raiders. While you can enter the interior of the depot to check for supplies, the structure should not be treated as secure cover once enemies are alerted.
5. Repair the Field Depot Antenna
Once you have located a Field Depot, you can complete the quest at that location.
How to Repair the Antenna
Most Field Depots provide roof access via a ladder attached to the exterior. In some layouts, nearby crates or terrain can also be used to climb onto the structure. After reaching the roof:
- Approach the antenna mounted on top of the Field Depot.
- Interact with the antenna to begin the repair.
- Remain in place until the interaction completes.
Repairing the antenna produces noise and may attract nearby enemies. Be prepared to defend yourself or reposition immediately after the repair finishes.
6. Quest Completion Conditions
The Off the Radar quest is completed the moment the antenna repair finishes. No additional interactions, items, or deliveries are required.
Although extraction is not required for the objective to register, leaving the area shortly after completion is recommended to avoid unnecessary risk.
7. Off the Radar Quest Rewards
After completing the antenna repair, return to the hub and check your quest log to confirm completion. Rewards are granted automatically once the quest is finalized.
Quest rewards include:
- 2x Defibrillator
- 2x Remote Raider Flare
